Hi

I am here on an O-A which was issued in Oct 2020, I arrived on it on Nov 19, 2020.

If I now go back to the UK and come back before Nov 19 do I need a new O-A or will the old one still be good for another entry (i.e. before Nov 19, 2021) ? Or should I just get a new one in London?

Tis was my first time on the O-A so not sure about its validity but have read about it being good for "potentially" 2 years if you do a border run before it expires.

Cheers

You need to do an entry before the "valid Until" date on the sticker which should be sometime in October 2021 to get another year.

Your permit to stay in the country that ends in November is not relevant at this time.  That is only the last day you can stay in the country.

What is important is your visas expiration date in October that is one year from the day it was issued. You have to do a entry prior to that day to get a new one year permit to stay.

It's written on your visa.

Enter Before  - self explanatory.

No. of Entry - Multiple, Multi or M

-means you can enter more than once before the Enter Before date.

An O-A allows 12 months stay on each entry.  Therefore you can eke out nearly 2 years on the one visa.

When the Enter Before date expires the visa is dead for further entry.

The actual O-A visa has an enter before date.  In your case it should be good until some date in October of this year.   You can enter, leave, re-enter as many times as you want until that date without getting a new visa.  Each time you enter Thailand you get an entry stamp with a date that you are allowed to stay in Thailand until.

1)  You leave and enter Thailand before the enter by date of the visa, which should be some date in Oct, you don't need to do anything.  You will receive a new permission to stay for another year.

2)  You leave Thailand and re-enter after the visa expires but before your permission to stay expires. You could get a re-entry permit before you leave.  Then you would have to extend again by the current permission to stay, 19 Nov.

3)  You leave Thailand and don't get back until after both of those dates.  Then you have to start all over.
