I did my marriage visa extension (first one) in Ubon Ratchathani last year and I had to keep the 400k inside my bank account for 3 months before application.

Now, I'm getting close to my renewal and I'm wondering if anyone knows how long I need to keep it inside my bank account now? I read everywhere 2 months. Is that correct?

3 months the first application, 2 months afterwards?

It is 2 months on the day you apply for every extension application.

I think somebody gave you wrong info last year.  Or maybe they meant a total of 3 months since some offices want the 400k baht kept in the bank until you return to get the one year extension stamp.

It has been 2 months for well over a decade now.

Isn't there an "or" clause where you can show a guaranteed income rather than a sum of money that may be needed during those two months?

You can prove 40k baht of monthly income to apply for the extension of stay instead of the 400k baht option.

Joe, can you please confirm the below for Non-O extension -

Work Permit option with the following :
Copy work permit
Certificate of company (Max 6 months old)
Certificate of income more than 40.000 Baht a month
Copy of 91 and PND 1 ,last 3 months

Are they still approving Non O extensions based on WP + 40K THB salary ?

Yes

The 3 months of income is the minimum when when apply for the first extension of stay. If working longer than that you would also need a copy of your tax return for the the previous year you were working then.
