Popular Post mtls2005
Tanee Sangrat @SangratTanee Latest Thailand’s position. Spokesman of Thai MFA. Former Ambassador to Vietnam and Consul-General, Los Angeles. Tweets and retweets are personal. This gentleman was the spokesperson for the DCA/MoFA efforts. MoPH obviously involved in the scheduling and administration of vaccinations. As were private hospitals. And maybe, Uncle Sam if you got Pfizer? A lot of people involved, all doing their part. And good on folks for making the effort to seek out vaccinations too. Edited August 26, 2021 by mtls2005 7

He does a good job for months? or years? now. Saw him first time in 2020 when Covid started and Richard always posted a summery from his meetings. Really that one person that cares about us and also takes our questions and tries to get answers. He relies in the end what others tell him, but he seem really to care. I say it again it took now a bit with the Pfizer rollout, but reading in multiple posts here they now getting these vaccines into the arms at many places. Yes not all worked perfect, but smooth enough for being Thailand.
Popular Post mfd101
Yes, agree with all the above. Had my first Pfizer shot (expatvac) in Surin this morning. All good. And good to see the vaxes spreading now steadily through the smaller 'lesser' provinces.

Still waiting in Udon Thani for a response. The above said if it wasn't for a mate texting me that the Provincial Health Clinic was taking registrations at the beginning of the week, I would still be waiting, suffice to say I got my 1st dose of Pfizer on Monday thanks to the USA for their donation, as I wouldn't know who to thank in Thailand because no one was beating the drums to let me know. Must be many more still waiting for Expatvac which I think is a flop unless your in the big City or surrounding areas.
Popular Post Old Croc
All very nice for those who were at the head of the queue, but I would think the gushing thankyou notes would be more appropriately saved until the program has concluded and all who registered had received the service. There are many thousands waiting for the nod or wondering why they were rejected for piddling reasons.

NE1
I see the Pfizer vaccines are to be used on students between the ages of 12 and 18 . 4 million of them next month. This is according to the Education minister. Where are they getting all these Pfizer vaccines from all of a sudden ?

Popular Post ardsong
me thinks it is far too early to thank expatvac as there are too many expats that registered in early august (including myself) that have not heard of any appointment , let alone got a needle in the arm. 3

The MFA appear to have done quite well in the big city and surrounding provinces, it was always planned for the Dept. of Health to handle the area's outside. The Dept. of Health are focused on the big city and surrounding provinces, to the extent that they have drawn many DoH staff from the "lesser" provinces to the big city, to the detriment of the "lesser" provinces (as well as sending infected people from Bangkok to the "lesser" provinces).
wwest5829
TO: All RE: my Pfizer scheduling whining ... I am happy to report that I need not bother all of you again concerning my difficulty getting a Pfizer vaccine appointment in Chiang Mai. Yesterday eve, through the intervention of the expat citizen group assisting the Chiang Mai CPO, I was scheduled for my first Pfizer vaccine shot on September 1. Much public thanks goes to Ben Svasti Thomson and the group!!!

I haven't heard Pfizer arriving from any orders that the Thai government have made. If your insinuating that it wasn't Pfizer and they substituted it for something else, anything's possible in Thailand I know, and I did note that Thai's were lining up for their Sinovac and AZ shots as we were leaving. The above said, if they did substitute it with anything else, they wouldn't be asking us to return in 3 weeks, which is when you have to have your 2nd Pfizer dose. Maybe it was water....whatever ????
