Pfizer Side Effects - My Experience

Featured Replies

Got my first Pfizer shot six days ago. Had a little bit diarrhea, some headache, some joint and muscle pain and dizziness. What doesn't want to disappear is the dizziness. It is like being a little bit drunken - sadly without this positive feeling. It comes and goes. Anyone with a similar experience? And what might I have to expect after the second shot if I have such side effects now already. Will it be (much) worse?

That doesn’t mean they are not caused by the vaccine but it does raise the question are there other causes.

I suggest discussing with your Doctor.

I'm sure Pfizer has a load of side effects like all the others, still worth the risk.

As for feeling dizzy, i would ask the hospital where you had the vaccine

I don't like doctors and hospitals if I am honest. I will let me bring to them when I am dead. The blood pressure I can check myself and it is normal. All the things I had and more are typical side effects.

I heard from people that they had only problems after the second shot. So now I ask myself what will come then for me if I have problems after the first shot already. So I was hoping people can share with me their experience in respect of the second shot. But perhaps not many here had their second Pfizer shot already.

I tried to google. But Google will always find an answer even if you ask "After Pfizer my dog ran away and my wife doesn't love me anymore."????

Got vaccinated  with Pfizer Aug 23rd

Had a sore arm that started to come on about 10 hours after the shot. Right around bed time. Still a little stiff the next morning and by supper time was all good.

All 4 others that I know that got the shot at the same time had the same results

some people get blood clots with vaccines (greater risk of clots with covid), if they went to hospital they should get clot busters, if they don't go they are on their own but from what i hear they get headaches

Six days is a long time for a side effect and this one is worth getting checked out.   There are a lot reasons for dizziness and a few of them are serious.  You mentioned that your blood pressure is normal, do you take blood pressure medication?

I have had both Pfizer shots and now have had a 3rd booster (not in Thailand).  A very, very mild sore arm.  The 2nd I had no reaction -- although I might have been a little more fatigued than normal.  The booster had no reaction, I could feel where the injection was given, but not sore.   No fatigue.  The next day I had forgotten I even had the shot.

Of the people I know who had a reaction to any vaccine, the most and worst that any have had is being sick for two days.   Six days is way too long.

Even if the effects described in the OP were caused by the vaccine, the solution isn't to go back in time and undo the jab.    It's to deal with the symptoms and underlying issues.  That means going to a doctor.

I wouldn't even think about a 2nd shot until I understood whether the first shot was the cause of the symptoms, and I discussed with a doctor the likely effects of doing the same thing again.

I had that on my second shot, though mild.  First time I had a bump like a bug bite at or near the shot site, but I really didn't pay attention.

OP you really need to see a doctor as dizziness lasting this long is likely due to something other than the vaccine.

Take note of whether sudden changes of posture or head movements seem to set it off. If so might be BPV

3 weeks ago for us, 2nd dose this coming Thursday.   Just arm pain for us.... 12 and 15 year old kids, mid 40's adults.   My 15 year old had a slight fever for one night (slight as in... An after a long day in the sun type fever).

Had my first Pfizer 3 days ago.  Stiff arm started about 8 hours after the shot and it lasted about 24 hours.  No other side effects so far.

Pfizer on Thursday 3 days ago, sore arm and fatigue for the first couple of days, still there a bit now. Not feeling ill though - felt more like a sedative or jetlag.

Vax of Pfizer on the 24th, no side effects until the 27th when I felt like I was coming down with a cold. Just feeling a bit off colour and sniffly, but hasn't progressed beyond that. However, the same feeling has persisted for three days.

After having my second Pfizer jab, I experienced bouts of light-headedness and being unsteady on my feet. However, at around the same time, I had a change of medication as prescribed by my doctor. The insert in the package did say that one of the side-effects from this medication could be dizziness. Therefore, I am not sure I can ascribe my original condition as being a side-effect resulting from the second Pfizer jab; it may have been coincidental.

I am  pleased to report that the light-headed/ unsteadiness seems to have abated now.

Got both jabs of the Pfizer. No side effects except for slight soreness at the injection site. Maybe I'm a lucky 76 yo.

The first day I felt slightly dizzy in the afternoon, about four hours after I got my shot. In the hospital they said not to do anything for a week (no sport etc). But I checked my Dutch websites and some English websites and all said that it doesn't do any harm as long as I feel good. So next morning I went on my bicycle and did excercises every day like normal.

Only thing apart from the dizzyness the first day, the spot where the injection was felt a bit sore if pressed on it.

But what I also read, was that if you are sixty and up, the body doesn't react so strong with the first injection. That most likely will happen with the second dose, but then again, it might as well not.

Am getting my first Pfizer tomorrow in Bueng Kan from the expatvac registration.

Was notified by phone on Saturday.

Will update after.

Does anyone know the time gap to second shot?

Thanks

Mate of mine and his Thai wife in Oz were experiencing similar symptoms to you but after a couple of weeks cleared up.

He has high blood pressure and is 61 on some meds for his high blood pressure, his Mrs came off far worse as she had a score of 3 for her blood cell count, my Mrs is a 10 and that is as low as you want to go, so his wife is on iron transfusion.

I had my 1st dose of Pfizer on the 23rd, sore injection site for a day, diarrhea once, some headaches, lethargic, some dizzy spells, and muscle aces, but nothing more than my average day pains, although the muscle pain, particularly in the arms from the elbow down to my wrist are annoying, but one has to look at what one has been doing of late, e.g. pushing the bike (possible cause), suffice to say, I would think the above except for the sore injection site are normal for me, excluding the diarrhea as well.

I think the 2nd will be much the same, but my mate did say he coped it worse the 2nd time around, so maybe up your vitamin D, C, Zinc, Magnesium and B12 ?

Yes, similar to me. First Pfizer jab last Thursday 26th. Friday, Saturday, Sunday feeling tired with occasional hot flushes (perspiring), a touch of diarrhea yesterday, today Monday back to normal.

No arm pain at all but was aware of the jab site every time I moved my arm for the first 2 days.

My first shot of pfizer I had a slightly sore arm for about 48 hours and felt a little feverish but otherwise fine.

Second shot gave me the same sore arm but genuinely felt like I had a head cold for about 36 hours. Stuffy nose and feverish.

Only reason I notice any of it or cared was because I was focusing on it.

I guess I'm lucky, no sore arm and no diarrhea, but the feeling of having a cold coming has persevered for 3 days. I guess it could be worse.

I had the same side effects that lasted a full week.  My second jab is in a few days, so I do not know what awaits me

I had the pfizer shot 8 days ago.  Sore shoulder for 3-4 days but now all that is gone.  No dizziness or any other side effects as far as my health goes.  That is why that they ask us to report at  3 days, 7 days and then 30 days after the first shot.  They then can see if there is any pattern to side effects.  Yours sounds like a big problem maybe!

Had my 1st shot on the 26th. So far nothing noticeable...

Received my first vaccine shot of Pfizer on 25 August (5 days ago) and the only side effect I had was soreness in the area where the shot was given. Other than that, I feel great. I hope the second shot will produce the same side effects: none...

I am not worried. It just annoys me. I notice it the most when I have to react to something for instance at a conversation. But I just would like to know the experience of others especially after the second shot. Here I read that more people have problems after this second shot. Before I go to a doctor a lot has to happen. I had too many bad experiences in this respect.
