I need a thorough dental checkup and live in Nimmenhaimen area.

Does anyone here use Grace Dental and can recommend a dentist they really like?

If not at Grace, please feel free to recommend at other clinics.
Money is not an issue if the professionalism and work is top notch. ????

Go with Grace. They are excellent. I have had a lot of complicated work done there over a ten year period. Much better than any dentists that I ever had in the US.

Can you recommend a particular dentist?

They have about 10 or 12 dentists there. They are all specialists. Different dentists for root canals, orthodontics, implants, cleaning and cosmetics, etc. When you first come in in you will see Dr. Korakot (she runs the place). She will evaluate what your issues are and make appointments with the appropriate specialist. Like I said I have had a lot of complicated work done there and have been treated by a number of the specialist dentists. They have all been excellent. It is pricey compared to some places but I think it is worth it.

I used Grace for 10 years or so but I left for a couple of reasons

Firstly  I had a quote for Implants and after I checked around I found their prices to be at least 20% more, and when talking 220,000 baht ,that's a lot.

I changed to Dr Thonguard at Grandent Dental Practice where I had the same work done for 150,000 baht.

6 years later I am more than happy with the results and the 70,000 baht saving.

Secondly, I was not impressed that on more than one occasion I was made to wait upwards of an hour for my appointment.

It wasn't that the dentist was busy, she was not on the premises, and that wrankled with me considering their prices and not a word of apology.

That's bad service IMHO.

Good luck with your choice.

Chiang Mai has a lot of excellent dentists. Dr. Korakot and Dr. Chanika of the Grace Dental clinic are 2 of them (my own experience).

But some years ago I stopped going there. The reason: a woman with a very deep  voice at the reception ( was new there). As usual,  I asked by e-mail for an appointment,  because I  live 4 hours away of Chiang Mai. I had to repeat it 3 times, never received an answer. Then I called them. I reported this ugly behaviour during the next treatment to Dr, Korakot, the boss. Nothing happened.

The same behavior again by this "woman". Now I recognized it was intentional. The years before it had never happened this way. I reported it to Dr. Korakot again, but no excuse. This was the reason I canceled the next appointment and never returned to Grace.

As I said before, Chiang Mai is famous for having a lot of excellent dentists. That was proven when I changed to Dentalworld (on the SouthWest corner of the moat).  Beside good dentists the ladies at the rexception are reliable/okay.

Amazing. My story is almost identical to yours.

I was a happy Grace customer for many, many years, but after two verbal run-ins with the loud and rude katoey on reception about a year ago I quit and am now a happy patient at Dental World. Just don't need the aggravation. I am NOT anti katoeys per se, just this individual character. Thinking about it now, maybe I should have had a word with Dr Korakot about it.

To the OP, I still would recommend the Grace dentists. Unfortunately you may have to deal with the annoying gatekeeper on reception.

@Antonymous

You made this ugly eperience at the Grace reception about one year ago. Interesting, that "she" is still there, because I have had this bad experience with her a lot of years ago. Isn't  a good advertising for Grace.

Normaly she should have been fired. But I guess she must be connected to somebody in this clinic. It's up to the boss/es,  now not my problem anymore.

I use Grace for my dental care….

silly to switch services b/c of a troubled lady boy office manager…he is not providing the care….

I avoid him and interact with the other receptionist to pay/schedule appointments

Recent experience at Grace - they are charging additional 300 baht for infection protection as they called it out of covid…

you don’t give antibiotics for a virus that you don’t have….and they give it 30 minutes b/f your appointment

sorry but this is bad medicine…when in doubt and are clueless, let’s throw antibiotics at it…

antibiotics should be administered only for a known specific bacteria infection…

Last time there, she jumped on me for having my mask hanging on my ear. When I pointed to my coffee cup on the table, she just did an abrupt about face. Nice legs, tho.

I’m sorry but what exactly did you get? A mouthwash?

They gave me four 150mg capsules….I found shocking so I faked like I took them and put them in my bag…

one should never take antibiotics w/o specific cause and never take a drug that you don’t know what you are specially taking…..

given to me by a dental assistant…
