It had me puzzled for some time, as you would assume a prison could easily be segregated.

Having a chat with the mother of an English lad in Bang Kwang, there is apparently no effort whatsoever being taken to do so.

The guards have apparently withdrawn from the inner part of the jail, allowing a complete free for all with prisoners in complete control.

Essentially the prison numbers of infected jails are likely to equal the entire inmate population sooner or later.

Entire Inmate population to possibly become Infected is about 310,000 people. That is not just bad, but a disgrace to the system.

I thought they had all this under control in the Prisons by using that herbal medicine " Green Choreeta ". The Prison Authorities even said it was so good they were going to grow the stuff themselves inside the Prisons

Maybe the Herbal stuff is not so good after all.

Correct me if I am wrong, but were Prisoners not Vaccinated  about 2 Months ago, or was that just in BKK.

The government should have accepted that Covid-19 was airborne long ago

Shopping malls have been reopened, dining-in has been allowed, and more measures are going to be eased, as Thais have recently been introduced to a new set of buzzwords: “Universal Prevention.”

But will that be enough to protect us from the current wave of the COVID-19 pandemic?

Indeed. That’s the nub of it. Those saying Thailand’s numbers are low compared with western nations (that includes myopic government) only go by figures released and not the percentages, oddly failing to take into consideration testing rate etc. Test a million a day instead of sub-50000 (rolls eyes), what will you get?

You won't get that many more positives, as in Thailand they test mainly sympromatic people. Test a million are yius eriously expecting to find 300K positive? Impossible, given the low death and hospitalisation rates.

No need to compare positivity rates in Thailand with countries that do mass random testing. That statisitic cannot be compared.

The information that was hacked includes only the names of patients and doctors, not their ID numbers, said the National Cybersecurity Agency. In all, about 3.7 GB of data was leaked, containing the information of at most 10,000 people, though the hacker claimed 16 million.

Where is Snowden, when we need him?

He could hack a few banks and see the wealth of a few important people.

No, not enough.  People need to be vaccinated.

I think there is a misunderstanding... The vaccine prevents that you are getting serious ill from the covid virus.. It will not protect you to get infected, only IF you are infected you will less ill. That is why you have to keep your masks on because you can be infected and spread  and infect other people. If you read the statement that you have to sign when are vaccinated it is also clearly written.. So not only unvaccinated  but also fully vaccinated people can infect others. If you don't believe this there is a lot to find if you google

read my above post

also I can google "flat earth" and get a lot of info

Study

China

Truth

The third is always missing

It's a simple reporting of average time to death. Why would anyone, even the Chinese, be falsifying that?

Anyway, if you don't like that data, you can find very similar figures in other studies.

Here's what the data from Australia shows, for example:

Quote

The estimated mean time between diagnosis and death was 18.1 days

Estimating age-specific COVID-19 fatality risk and time to death

Is Australian data any more to your liking?

Number of Covid-19 infections in Thailand starts to decline, 70-80 percent are asymptomatic, says Public Health Ministry

National –

people playing with words often used by the anti vax crew trying to justify their argument

Generally when terms like infection and transmission are used by experts it means when the virus is able to invade cells and replicate and become transmissable - using the literal term "infected"  could be argued to mean when the virus enters the body but in general that is not what is functionally meant by the term in context. In general when doctors and experts refer to infection with covid they mean that the virus entered the body and was able to easily enter celles (infect) and replicate in large detectable numbers and  become transmisable - the current data shows that effective vaccines prevent and protect against this happening by more than 80%

Here is the same quote used today by another member.

“They don't stop transmission, they just reduce the possibility, but it can still happen.

A growing body of evidence indicates that people fully vaccinated with an mRNA vaccine (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna) are less likely than unvaccinated persons to acquire SARS-CoV-2 or to transmit it to others. However, the risk for SARS-CoV-2 breakthrough infection in fully vaccinated people cannot be completely eliminated as long as there is continued community transmission of the virus.”

Is he trying to justify his argument for anti fax too, or just quoting from the same CDC source?

Feel free to let us know just so we can confirm there are no double standards.

Once again proving that lockdowns -- even semi-lockdowns like Thailand's -- work as expected to tamp down virus transmission, no matter what the yahoos might say.  Now let's see if these improvements in Thailand's pandemic situation tragically reverse now that the semi-lockdown is being prematurely abandoned.
