BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's parliament on Wednesday started debating draft legislation outlawing torture and enforced disappearance, following years of delay and civil society outrage over alleged abuses and impunity among law enforcement personnel.

PHUKET: A Ukrainian woman was killed and three other people were injured after an ice delivery truck spun out of control on Thepkrasattri Rd this morning (Sept 15). The truck, a converted pickup truck with a ‘cold box’ fitted on the back, crossed the central reservation and ploughed head-on into oncoming traffic on the other side of  the road.

Mass vaccination of Thai students being prepared for reopening of schools in November

Thailand’s Constitutional Court to be petitioned over constitutionality of charter amendments

Thailand’s smaller political parties, most of which have just one seat in the House of Representatives, are set to petition the Constitutional Court this Friday to seek a ruling on the constitutionality of the constitutional amendment draft, which recently passed its third and final reading in parliament.

Long Covid found to affect 10-20 per cent of Thai patients

Phuket hospital claims success with subcutaneous injection of AZ as booster

The Vachira Phuket hospital has claimed successful experimentation with subcutaneous injection of AstraZeneca vaccine, as a third booster dose for people already inoculated with two doses of Sinovac vaccine. Used subcutaneously, a single dose of vaccine can be given to five times as many people as an intramuscular injection, and with slightly higher antibody levels.
