Site to buy refurbished or 'open box' apple Ipad

My niece is at university to become a nurse.  Is there a reliable source to find refurbished or open box ipads please?  I have looked on Shopee and sites offering deals 'too good to be true' only joined the day b4 or a week b4.  I tried to order from one of them, COD, and they were banned the next day.....  Looking on Lazada all the devices are new and private sellers on shopee want about 10% less than the new price.  Any ideas please?  Thanks

If you are in Bangkok you could go to the BananaIT outlet shop at Seacon Square.  They often have iPads at decent prices.  They may be demo models or older models.  They also do iPhones and android phones, laptops, monitors and other stuff.

The Thailand Apple store is being updated at the moment but I'm sure they do "Certified Refurbished Products". Worth a call.

You should but from apple store direct. From what I heard all their refurbished stuff is actually brand new they just advertise it that way not to ruin the brand with lower prices. There will be no original box with the item

The apple Thailand store does not have a refurbished section.  Other Apple stores do.

in a refurbished store some items are new returns others are not. However that doesn’t matter as they are not available in Thailand.

Refurbished iOS devices will come with new battery and outer shell. Every device will come with all accessories, cables and operating systems.1 All Apple Certified Refurbished products are packaged in a brand new white box and will be sent to you with free shipping and returns.

I meant the online store was being updated. (Seems to be back and updated now)

Online Exclusives

Shopping on apple.com lets you take advantage of exclusive features such as iPad engraving, Mac customisation and Certified Refurbished Products.

Nope.....

"Apple online TH is now open for sale, special sale and refurbish."

Update: Apple has now removed the Refurbish menu from Apple online Thailand

The Thai Apple store has not had a refurbished section for the last 2 years as a minimum so why you say that they have now removed it is strange to say the least. FWIW the article you link to is over 8 years old. So any store had a short life.

I don’t know if there was ever a Thai Apple refurbished section as prior to that I was using the Japanese store that does have one.

Amazon US is the answer I found after exhausting many local options. Search Amazon renewed and look for sellers with high volume of positive reviews. Amazon’s International shipping program estimates and collects import duty, which will be refunded if not actually collected by customs.

My 11” ipad Pro arrived in one week, brown box, like new condition. Without looking for the receipt, I think it cost me 13,000 Bt. all in. I also got $40 refunded to my credit card.

Good luck!

Btw-The seller I used was Platinum Deals, fulfilled by Amazon. Import fees of $39.31 were refunded in full. (10.5” iPad Pro 64Gb)
