Actually, the latest studies including those from Israel, do show that getting infected provides more powerful protection against covid than does vaccination.

Natural immunity to covid is powerful. Policymakers seem afraid to say so.

But of course, it makes no sense to get infected with covid in order to avoid coming down with covid

I was referring to those who have been infected but not vaccinated.

Well, if you look at the article I linked to, the latest research shows that those who have been infected only seem to have greater immunity than those who are vaccinated.
