A friend has just received a second AZ shot after having a first dose of Sinovac. Before receiving the AZ a hospital spokesperson announced that everyone would have to have a third shot and would be contacted to make appointments. It was then announced that this was because they were getting 12 doses per bottle rather than 6 and this was confirmed in private by an English speaking doctor who confirmed that this was not a one off situation. If true, what is my friends protection status?

a hospital spokesperson

Between what A hospital spokesperson says and it actually the policies of the booster shot there's this long, long time to still come, don't bank or wait for such shot, Thailand is still very, very far from even considering it, let alone having the stocks and administrating it to the people...

unusual practice, probably part of some scientific research - but patients should be informed.

It's rather a second part of the second shot than a third dose, a booster.

They are trying to stretch vials because of acute shortage
