I found where he's been staying in the U.S.  ...   Here he is the President of the Board of Directors.

Pretty sure this was also the same temple where that jet setting monk stayed in California before being sent back to Thailand.  Evidently this temple loves these bad boy monks.

  • I find the whole "Buddhist" movement in Thailand largely inappropriate. Just a ponzi scheme in disguise.

This definitely calls for a committee! Maybe form a Special Monk Unit (SMU) with overall jurisdiction in Thailand, give them some badges!

  • What the? Place is getting sillier every day.

'He has been granted refugee status in the United States.'  So how does he support himself in US for all these years & who pays for his air tickets & did he quarantine?  So many questions; so few answers.

"He has been granted refugee status in the United States."

I wonder on what specific grounds?

They are ticked off because he broke celibacy vow and they kept it.

I can see how that would be annoying.

Oops!  At first read I took the use of disrobed as an implication of hanky-panky.

Never heard that term before, usually in the West it is defrocked.

I would guess their veneration had something to do with a generous donation.

I thought it was "defrocked" too did a double take wondering why they would before a naked guy!

Why would he be classified as a refugee? Was his life under threat or was he continuously threatened with severe violence? Did he have no resources, no income, no support mechanism?

I think they mean defrocked. Disrobed is something else, isn't it?

Immigration attorneys.  They can get pretty creative.

He had a lot of female groupies in Thailand, including some rather hiso types. Seemed very attractive to the ladies.

Most likely bipolar "ladies" with daddy issues. I hope this "monk" got executed, or at least thrown into the penitentiary for his wicked deeds.

"National Office of Buddhism to probe conduct..."

A NOB probe should sort it out.

Anyone know if he's still in Thailand or did he go back to the U.S.
