Thailand’s main airport runs tests ahead of country’s reopening on Monday

Suvarnabhumi international airport conducted drills today (Wednesday) to test its readiness to cope with the arrival of foreign tourists on November 1st, when Thailand reopens its borders to arrivals by air.

CNN report on substandard gloves from Thailand may have been provided by duped American

A senior Thai police officer said today that he suspected that the recent CNN report about the export of tens of millions of used medical gloves to the United States, from a firm in Thailand, may be linked to the kidnap of a Taiwanese businessman in Bangkok in March this year.

Nine arrested in Thailand for selling Favipiravir online without permission

Nine people, including the general manager of a private hospital in Thailand, have been arrested by officers from the Consumer Protection Police Division for allegedly selling the anti-viral drug Favipiravir online without permission and for profiteering.

Discovering Dvaravati: Phra Pathom Chedi National Museum re-opens

Closed to visitors since April 2019, the Phra Pathom Chedi National Museum is now reopening with a new and spectacular exhibition, which includes the Inscription of Wat Phra Ngam, the most recent Dvaravati epigraphic evidence discovered at the archaeological site in Nakhon Pathom.

PHUKET: The latest Phuket Provincial Public Health Office (PPHO) daily COVID situation report has marked 75 new local infections confirmed across the island yesterday (Oct 27) bringing the total number of people recognised as infected with COVID-19 in Phuket since Apr 3 to 15,015.

80,000 Thai truckers to go on strike on Monday over diesel prices

Coinciding with Thailand’s reopening to foreign arrivals on November 1st, about 80,000 trucks, including some tour buses, will stop running to put pressure on the government to meet the demand from the Land Transport Federation of Thailand (LTFT) for the price of all types of diesel to be capped at no more than 25 baht/litre for one year.

Paddy The Room Trading Indicted for Medical Glove Case

BANGKOK, Oct 28 (TNA) – Public prosecutors indicted Paddy The Room Trading Co for a medical glove case and the Royal Thai Police Office would conclude its investigation into the export of used medical gloves to the United States within a month, said Deputy Prime Minister. and Commerce Minister Jurin Laksanawisit.
