Was on Klang the other day looking at the spaghetti wires hanging, then remembered they dug it up a couple of years back to so call bury them all.

There are no pavements on most of Klang, so be careful walking along looking up at the cables, or you will be in a hole!

Why they couldn’t do this in the last 18 months when no was around is just dumb.

Same with Walking St which has huge covered holes that could have been repaired. Nothing done.

Oh great, another blxxdy great mess at a main junction just as tourism is cited to pick up. What is it with these morons, we just had nearly 2 years of missed opportunity. The bars on WS must be thrilled at this prospect of their area being completely inaccessible from the North.

WORLD CLASS holiday destination remember .....

Along with all the other " projects " that are leaving all the Walkways looking like a building site everywhere.

Yes the pavement (sidewalk) up from Walking Street to Tukcom is a joke. They made a nice start with new paving stones but then left a 1 ft unfinished gap (3 years now) so that farangs can trip over the hole.

From link It is expected that the construction will be completed by July next year-a total of almost nine months.City officials, responding to criticism on social media about the timing of the project with the city “reopening” to vaccinated foreign tourists as of November 1st, stated that the project is part of a long-term program and the next step after drainage was done on Beach Road in earlier years.

Still be finished before tourist come in any numbers then

I agree. They will have years to complete this project, in a virtually tourist-free town. Walking Street has been left to decay over the last 18 months and is an embarrassment ot the city.

5555555! That's funny! How many times has this been attempted with little or no results?!

We have to give them a break on storm water drainage. Pattaya is flat and the torrential rain that sometimes falls would be impossible to drain fast enough to prevent flash flooding. Mother nature sometimes gets the upper hand and there's nothing that can be done.

Yes, and this was so eloquently explained by the Pattaya Mayor recently when he said, "it floods because it rains."

It's all about educating the Thai people.   ????
