People from all walks of life in Hua Hin came together on Wednesday (Nov 3) to clean Hua Hin beach.

On Wednesday morning, Mr. Nopporn Wuttikul, the mayor of Hua Hin brought together staff from the with municipal administration, officials, entrepreneurs and people in Hua Hin municipality to join help clean up the beach in front of the Centara Gran Hotel.

The activity was used to help publicise the readiness to welcome both Thai and international tourists to Hua Hin in accordance with the government’s open country policy, as well as to build confidence among citizens and tourists in preventing the spread of the COVID-19.

This is pathetic, they should pay people to do this as a job and make sure they do it.

You know, like in normal countries.

Perhaps the photograph could have been a self pointing exercise?????

Opportunity for practice missed  ????

Who cleans a beach in long trousers and/or a collar and tie?  Pathetic photo opportunity, making a mockery of a good cause that is already being practised by a group of people, predominantly ex-pats, called Hua Hin Trash Heroes, who do a great, but undersung, job.  https://trashhero.org/network/huahin/  Keep up the good work and many thanks to you.

So a sort of targeted clean up then?

Thank you - exactly what I thought. I wonder if they all got a free meal in the hotel's restaurant afterwards???

Would be very parsimonious if they didn't.

the mayor of Hua Hin brought together  in Hua Hin help clean up the beach in front of the Centara Gran Hotel.

Will Centara Gran Hotel be rewarding these good citizens,  or have they made a donation to the mayor already ?

Folk’s regularly stay at Hua Hin hotels on the beach front for years.

Would never take an ocean dip in the sea anywhere between Cha Am Beach until at least Secret Beach.

The water is IMHO is not healthy for swimming in this area most times of the year.
