worgeordie
Just looking at Superrich website and they are quoting 44.85 Bhat to the Pound, with wider spreads than normal, looks like it's going to be a bit volatile . I thought the Pound was stable at 45 + , been over 46 for a while , then dropped, with the talk from Bank of England saying they will have to raise interest rates due to inflation, I was expecting Sterling to go up, so is this drop due to Boris or Thailand doing much better.......or just speculators regards Worgeordie

You do know it´s over 50 % different, right? Caculate that on an amount of 10 million of each currency. then you will have a difference of an approx. loss of 250 000 baht between the currencies. Chivas
Sterling dumped against the Dollar simply because the UK didnt see the anticipated interest rate rise Nothing to do with Thai Baht per se which has been bouncing around 33.30 for some time against its benchmark

Popular Post Guderian
With forecasts of UK inflation predicting it breaching 5% CPI next year, and averaging 4% over the year (add another 1% - 2% to get RPI, the 'real' inflation that most people feel), the Bank's lost a huge amount of its inflation-fighting credibility after its Governor dropped some very open hints that the rate would be raised yesterday and it wasn't. Even he didn't vote for a change, so what was he playing at? Does his elbow know what his ass is doing any more? Expect to see a run on Sterling in the coming months, which will make inflation even worse, and the BoE will have to hike rates more sharply and to higher levels to get the situation under control than if they'd voted for a mere 15-basis point increase yesterday. Together with the antics going on in politics now, it seems that the country is being run by clowns and amateurs. How many people are aware that the UK went belly-up to Macron and gave them an extra 95 fishing permits to sort out the scallop trawler fiasco, in spite of all the tough guy talk? Actually, clowns and amateurs is being too kind, morons and incompetents is closer to the truth.

Nojohndoe
Not my currency of concern but information related to the Brit Pound that comes as part of my interest suggests that hyperinflation fears have influenced the BOE to retract on suggestions of an interest rate increase which has caused speculative investors in waiting to withdraw to seek greener grass .
