Featured Replies

British National. I urgently need to get back to Italy. I’ve trawled several websites looking for restrictions in Italy but with out success. If any one can help. Thanks.

You can click on Italy on the map on this IATA website for info.

Thank you both for that.

Having gone though the site I’m still a bit confused. It states that until 15th Dec there is no travel. It then gives a list of exceptions. Thailand is not mentioned. So I’m assuming from that there is no travel from here. Airlines are scheduling to Rome

it mentions UK nationals can enter but I assume that is from the UK..

I am a Italian resident but cannot prove it at the airport.

Forgive me if I sound a bit dim.

This page has all the lists on it.

Looks like Thailand falls into this category:

No chance of getting proof of residency emailed to you?

Thanks again. Not possible I’m afraid. Villa all locked up. I have a Italian ID Card but not sufficient I think. I’ll wait for the 15th Dec to see if there is any update.

There are other stipulations as well. At Rome I have to get private transport to my home ( 5 hours ) and then have to self isolate for 10 days.

if urgent you can ask italian consulate for a special permit to travel.

Another option is to travel to any other european country which is opened (majority now, for example vienna), do atk test (from e15 in towns and from e50 airports), put it on Green Pass application (or any italian specific application) and travel to italy by airplane or even self-drive, train, couch

If you are resident in Italy you may ask your "comune" (Munipality) to send you a "Certificato di residenza" by email

Thanks for that. I live near a sleepy town in the far south. I will ask a friend if he can call in and sort it out.

also there might be e-citizen smartphone application, where you register, prove this application by visiting consulate or even by approving it through your italian bank (I did like that).

Having this electronic signature you can request documents, print them out
