thailand49
Up to now everything I've read it has been available to all foreigners Pfizer since the first donation by the U.S. 1.5 million doses prior given first to front line workers as recently to students 12-18 years of age I've not heard students 5-11 years in Pattaya particularly on the Darkside getting the Pfizer many kids in my Thai village still aren't in school nor are they getting online studies? Let's not get locals Thais in general the poor being able to get the Pfizer as a choice like foreigners living here I've not seen it available and this guy making like it has always been available by walking into any Thai government clinic? As of now 1.5 Pfizer has been donated by the U.S. another 2.5 was promised by the end of the year? Somehow somewhere it was reported 1 million of Moderna arrived Nov 1st, it was supposed to be checked and distributed 5th of Nov, just yesterday reported another 1 million? had arrived yet the people who has paid upfront are still waiting while this guy say cancel? Yes it isn't his job to cancel and if the Pfizer was readily available at clinics there really is no busy of anyone to have to ask. List these clinics throughout the country so those who been wanting the pfizer get them! Where? I bet a pretty good chunk of money it isn't readily available. ????

mtls2005
These sorts of statements are a bit troubling if they portend the regime's position that private hospital paid vaccines are being greatly discouraged and restricted. I'm not sure if this is spill-over from the family feud involving THG, or is representative of the larger government vaccine policy? And I'm not sure why the regime is taking such a strong stance NOW? There will be no loss off face for them as nearly 80 mm doses have been administered. Eventually private hospitals will have to be allowed to order and administer vaccines.

Have ANY Thai government purchased Pfizer or Moderna doses actually arrived for use in the government's own free for the public vaccination program as yet??? I don't think so! The original round of Pfizer doses that Thais and farangs could get in recent months was donated by the U.S. government to Thailand. And the current round of Moderna doses was acquired mainly by the Thai Private Hospitals Assn. for dispensing by their member hospitals on a pay for play basis Correct me if I'm wrong, but AFAICR, all of the government vaccine acquisitions that have made into into the government's own FREE vaccine distribution program for the public thus far (not counting plans for future deliveries) have been their own locally produced AZ (along with some other foreign AZ donations) and either donated or purchased Sinovac and Sinopharm doses from China. Having booked Moderna for my wife and I and waited waited waited I eventually booked on the intervac site and received 2 shots of Pfizer “free” at MedPark Hospital Bangkok. A bit of a trip from Phetchabun but worthwhile! We now wait for Moderna as a booster if it ever arrives! You can still book on Intervac Edited November 25, 2021 by AussieinThaiJim Intervac
Popular Post spidermike007
We could not get out act together, so you all went out and booked privately. Partly due to our procrastination, in approving the better vaccines. Now, we finally got some of the good stuff, and we want to help you, finally. Huh? Anutin and Prayuth should have resigned, or been replaced in March of 2020, after Covid broke out. Both were in way over their small heads long before Covid came around. Anutin lacks experience, a background in the health field, and the only reason he was appointed, and is still in this position, is due to the power and the influence he has over his party. There is NO other reason. Get out. Get out now. Hopefully the people will no longer stand for incompetence. Not during an emergency. Not now. You completely blew the vaccination program! You blew the response to Covid! You blew the response to the outbreak in Samut back in December, which led to the 2nd wave! What have you gotten right? It now appears the lack of cases during the 1st wave was dumb luck. So many questions, and so few answers. 1. Why not Pfizer in the interim? 2. Why can't the private sector import the vaccines directly? Why does the stunningly incompetent government and health ministry need to be involved? 3. Why was there seemingly no planning, when it comes to the vaccination program? 4. Is this really the best they can do? 5. Why has Anutin not been replaced? His political connections aside, Thailand really needs competent leadership at this emergency juncture. 6. Is the government here (and possibly worldwide) totally bought and paid for, by Big Pharma? 7. Do the people of Thailand finally see how they have been misled, mishandled, bamboozled, forsaken, and abused by the hapless army, and the goons in charge? If they could not see it before, it is so obvious now. 99.9% of the Thais I talk to are so far beyond fed up. And if the 3-5% who drank the kool-aid still believed, after this latest covid debacle, Prayuth, Anutin and the gang have been truly unmasked to a humiliating and inglorious degree. Who could possibly still have any faith in their competence, and sincerity, at this point? And speaking of rocket science, you fools are actually contemplating a space program, when you cannot even get it together to set up multiple vaccine center locations, and you cannot even plan sufficiently to have a large enough quantity of vaccines ready for when they are needed? Shame on you. Shame on you for your continued lies, deflections, blame, and labels. You behave like an infant. You are despised to no end. You are hated, disrespected, likely have an approval rating of less than 1%, and have less than zero credibility, just like your creepy boss.

And 1.0 mm donation from the U..S. arrived this week. And Zulleg says 1.4 mm are due latest first week of December, from the 1.9 mm order. And another 6 mm Moderna are on order for Q1 delivery. I'm still unclear on the breakdown of the total ~ 8.6 mm doses ordered by the GPO from Zulleg Therapeutics. 1.0 mm were said to be for the TRC. My Moderna PoS is up to queue number 16,000, adding 3,000 every two days.
Farangdk
Pfizer is already bloody free. I paid 3200,- and I will not get this back for Moderna, and they promised me that I would get this in October, then November and now next year. Now they offer free Pfizer, which already is free. Come on cheaters.

You could still be right in what you read because as memory serves me the original Moderna order was for 1 million doses to be deliver mid October but then that was delayed until 1st November and only half of that order was delivered with a further order of 1.9 million doses to be delivered in December. It will be anyones guess if that 1.9 million doses will be delivered on time. They might count the 1 million doses that was donated by America as part of that order. kamahele
I thought the government took delivery of 1.5 million doses of Moderna last week. csmith
So much negativity … the Gov have extended the public (your) “options” for free …. they are not using force to make you do anything you don't want to do. Personally I'm pleased with the Gov organization in Chiangmai …. and the efficiency of the hospital …. free 2xPfizer …. good job guys.

I think anutin wants people to get vaccinated NOW. Many (1 mm?) are waiting for their Moderna, and nutin is trying scare/shame/entice them to get vaccinated now. Dangling Pfizer is deliberate. It's not clear to me how much Pfizer is actually in hand. The U.S. donation is surely all administered, and the government has said they have ordered 20 mm and another 10 mm doses (with a further 30 mm planned for 2022). I haven't seen any news but think some of these (~ 10 mm??) have been delivered as close to 4 mm students are said to be 2x Pfizer vaccinated. https://thethaiger.com/coronavirus/government-reports-over-90-of-students-12-18-vaccinated So I think the thai public may have access to Pfizer (free) today, but would imagine this is not a universal policy.
