Popular Post webfact
Thai caption: Expulsion! Ferrari Joe - the super rich cop with super cars who allegedly tortured and murdered a drug suspect in custody - will lose his job. Daily News pressed the Royal Thai Police chief for answers when it became apparent that the disciplinary committee looking into Pol Col Thitisan Uthanaphol - former chief of the Nakhon Sawan police - had made its decision. General Suwat Chaengyodsuk admitted it was clear that Joe would be sacked from the force along with his six associates. After all they will be facing a long period in jail, noted the chief. He said that he was unaware as yet of the committee's findings but as soon as he was he'd sort the matter out. Meanwhile Maj-Gen Yingyot Thepjamnong said the disciplinary committee was on the point of presenting their findings to the chief. The case caused a huge scandal in Thailand when a video reportedly showed the chief and his associates wrapping several plastic bags around the head of a 24 year old drug suspect who subsequently died. Following this it was revealed that Thitisan was the owner of dozens of luxury cars worth 600 million baht - prompting his nickname of Ferrari Joe or Chief Joe in the Thai media. All seven of the accused face criminal prosecution in the murder/extortion case. Popular Post ThailandRyan
An internal investigation should have already been started and been close to completion. He should be terminated based upon his egregious actions and so should his subordinates who participated. In fact the station chief should also have his command removed as he more than likely was aware of what Joe and his cronies were doing. Add to that, and unless they resign from their jobs prior to being fired, they should also loose their pensions and then sued civilly in court by the decedents parents.

Popular Post mtls2005
"will" lose his job? What about his superiors, who were responsible for managing him? Those who recommended him for his promotions? And those he paid for his "elephant ticket"? 14

Popular Post Dont confuse me
Why was him losing his job ever in question? This could all be part of a deal! If they are charged with murder there maybe a way out! It could be that they were using a 'scare' tactic that had in the past yielded results, however on this occasion it accidentally killed the suspect! Reckless for sure but difficult to prove the state of mind for premeditated. Manslaughter would be a safer bet, punishment not going to be much different (I don't see death penalty ever happening, far too much money floating about) Let's see how much longer these updates are forthcoming, this isn't over yet.

Premeditated manslaughter ? I had to say something to that comment . Never heard of the term before in reading about murder cases for too many years 1
