Manager reported that the governor of Chiang Mai Prajon Prachsakul decided Saturday to ease alcohol restrictions in restaurants from today, Monday December 6th in five districts of the northern Thailand province.

So long as restaurants have conformed to Covid Free Setting requirements they can serve alcohol from 11 am 2 pm and 5 to 11 pm.

This applies to Muang, Mae Rim, Mae Taeng, Jom Thong and Doi Tao districts only.

In other districts restrictions as previously announced still apply and all establishments that have not had Covid Free Setting accreditation remain separate from the order everywhere.

In addition 5 musicians are allowed in restaurant settings though their interaction with patrons is limited to certain protocols.

If you are going to contract Covid the number 1 place is the daily market, crowded enclosed places like long bus trips or plane would be number 2. Needless to say I have not done either for nearly 2years. Boring but safe.

According to the Covid Free Setting regulations diners can only remain in the restaurant for one hour!

I wonder how they are going to check that. Count the bottles?
