Thai media Siam Rath claimed that tourists were flooding in for the long three day weekend yesterday, the Constitution day holiday.

They showed queues for Koh Lan and gatherings of people on floating rafts in Pattaya Bay to back this claim up.

They said that many had booked rooms in Pattaya inspired to visit by the ongoing music festival.

Where you have to sit in a socially distanced and isolated "Covid chair" and can't dance.

All the Covid protocols were in place, reiterated the media, saying that mask wearing was 100% - no exceptions.

My friend, a long time resident of Pattaya, has also observed that the hundreds of new 'restaurants' that have recently opened up seem very busy.

I guess they still haven't solved the flooding problems.

I remember in England when pub's shut at 14:00 on a Sunday. we would all move to the restaurant  buying a basket of chips every 2 hours until 19;00 when the bar opens. ????

Funny @Ohyesuare.

The headline should be domestic tourists are flooding into Pattaya.

International tourists may be starting to arrive as well, but it is not

much of a flood of them.

I was in town yesterday and there seemed to be a lot of both.
