Police cracked down on illegal crane machine games at a mall in Bang Saen earlier this week and they seized a total of 38 illegal crane machine games.

The Saensuk Police led by Police Chief Colonel Pattana Robroo inspected a department store in Saen Suk after complaints from concerned citizens.

Colonel Pattana stated to the press, “We have seized 38 illegal crane machine games. Ms. Achirayan Dawong, who identified herself as a caretaker was taken to the Sanesuk Police Station.”

What ?? Are you seriously trying to tell me some clown called the police to report an arcade game where you win stuffed toys !
What utter nonsensical reason can they have for stopping these ?

Or is it any machine that’s classed as a game with a coin slot in it is regarded as gambling in this Stone Age place ? ????

Top floor Central in Pattaya, all these machines have been unplugged and stored in a corner.

Good job I say, these machines come a close second to the Pattaya bridge club on the amount of harm they can do to you.

These machines are a con , the crane arms don't exert enough pressure to life anything up .

No chance of winning, so its a con and they have rightly been removed

Yes, it was blocking some noodle seller's stall..... and she called to tell the police the game was placed there without a kickback to them having been paid....

Every seaside town in the UK has several very large 'amusement arcades' where these machines and even - gasp, slot machines - are very popular (hence the large number of such places). Yet in Thailand they are considered a danger to society - along with many other things that would be considered harmless in countries where fun is still allowed.

I'd ask if these guys didn't have anything better to do, but I know the answer.

Another idiotic law to add to the books, lol

If they're going to eliminate these then they should make the lottery illegal. That certainly hurts a lot more poor people than these stupid games.

Check out the Lotus in Kilosip.  Guess the National Lottery and Temple Fair games of chance are not gambling????

better idea, set it up so that you could pick your own numbers

Chief Robroo conferred his delight on this success saying every time they'd previously tried to capture these machines they always slipped through their fingers at the last moment.

Why don't they get out in the sun and save some lives on the road!
