Sanook caught up with a happy man who had just won 6 million baht in the state lottery in the latest draw on Thursday.

 

Jamlong, 40, said that on Monday he'd gone to the market near his home in Kabinburi, Prachinburi for a bite to eat and a lottery ticket.

 

He had no idea what number to pick when he saw a ticket vendor on a bicycle.

 

So he plumped for one ending in 35 - the year of birth of his ex-girlfriend who he split up with just a month ago. 

 

Bingo! His one ticket came up with the number 639235.

 

He said he'd use a little over one million of his winnings to pay off his house mortgage. He had no intention of quitting his job in the industrial estate that he'd done for 8 years.

 

He added that he had not told his relatives yet but would be visiting them at New Year. 

 

Sanook pictured him in a mask with only half his face showing with the caption:

 

"Splitting up with girlfriend made him rich".

That might change next year when he gets sick of hearing people ask "can I borrow"

If in the USA, she would sue for half and win ... ????

Guess that was Thai Buddha year unless she was 85.
