LINE Pay

I have been trying to set up a LINE Pay Account to pay for a booster jab, Bangkok Pattaya Hospital don’t accept Card or cash payments. When I tried to set an account up it was in Thai and it was asking for my ID Card number.

Pretty sure i bought mine with my UK credit card. Maybe try truemoney

To register for the booster you have to use LINE Pay.

I wanted to set up Line Pay on my smartphone long ago for regular shopping. I bumped into the same wall: no Thai ID.

 

Incidentally, am I dreaming or is the Hospital only accepting purchases of vaccines in batches of 10? So in order to get a booster you must become a vaccine dealer yourself?

Indeed, I must have eye-goggles. They're limiting the number to 10 per person. Makes more sense.

It's just a thought, I have no idea whether it would work, but if you have the 600000... number on your vaccination certificate, which was said to be a form of Thai id, you could try that. Recently I was thinking about applying for a Thai credit card, can't remember which bank it was, and tried my vaccination number which worked on the online application. I didn't follow that through, though.

I walked in today, LINE Pay only.

The LINE Pay wallet app has a selection to allow a non-Thai to register with a passport instead. But there currently seems to be a verification backlog, they write it takes 2-3 days but it often seems to take longer.
