LCDTV Thailand? Any experience of ordering? / Sony 65X90J

Planning to go check out a few stores in BKK tomorrow for a 65" TV.  Looking at the Sony XR-65X90J currently.  There was a great deal online from Powerbuy with a special promo ending today that drops the TV to 36K but, having placed the order (yet to pay), I got an email saying that after I've paid they'd notify me if the product is in stock and if not they'd refund the money.  Hmmmm.  Not really keen on that idea.  I then checked the 'pick up at store' availability and there's limited stock (so it says) locally with full stock only at Saphanburi (which I suspect is a central warehouse).  I've no problem with something needing to be shipped but I prefer to know they have stock before I pay, not after, especially if that leaves me waiting for a refund for a week (at best)  Checking the FB page for Powerbuy the overwhelming numbers of reviews are negative.  So I'm erring on the side of avoiding PB online.

Saw several references to LCDTV Thailand (https://www.lcdtvthailandshop.com), a store that has very high ratings on Shopee, just wondering if anyone has any experience with them.

I'm not particular about the TV in question but it seems to fit the bill for what I'm after.  I'd rather stick with Sony or Panasonic and local for the 3+ year guarantee.

If you not in a hurry I would wait for the 1st of January Both Shopee, Lazada have special promotions of the day of the month for example this tv you could buy for 32-34,000 baht direct from sony Thailand  and delivered by Sony Thailand with 3 year warranty

Another TV to checkout is the SONY KD-65X9500H main differences are the x9500h is much brighter than the X90J which is good for watching 4k.

if you into gaming go for the x90j has it has hdmi 2.1 ports if you want best picture quality go for the x9500h

X90J is mid range model launched June 2021 launch price 55,000

X9500H was the top of the range model launched Oct/Nov 2020 launch price 80,000

LCDTV Thailand is a good shop to buy from but if Sony Thailand is selling same price or lower buy from Sony Thailand

Prices for both the x90j and x9500h were between 32k-35K on 12th December 2021

Thanks for the info.  I'll wait until 1 January I think.  There is a Flash Sale at Shopee at the moment but looks like the reductions are not so significant as they were on 12/12 (and hopefully 1/1).  Not into gaming at all, picture more important, so I'll look at the 9500H too.

As to the issue above about Android vs Smart, that doesn't bother me that much as I'll use either a Shield TV or Apple TV 4K (2021) on whichever I buy.

32K from Lazada CoD from a Bangkok supplier.

https://www.lazada.co.th/products/sony-kd-65x85j-65-google-tv-4k120hz-2021-sony-3-i2562836026-s9120120470.html

Although this is an '85J', not sure what the difference is.

Would point out the LG 65" is only 21kbht, and a 3 year guarantee.

I read all the reviews I could find of the X90J yesterday, it was largely those that drew me to it after seeing the TV in several 'Recommended'.  Read several reviews of the 950(0)H too since last night.  Both would suit me.  The 950H certainly seems that it would have the better picture for HD but there was one feature it didn't have that the X90J does have (likely as a result of the X90J being a 2021 model).  Can't recall what it was just now (it was something other than 2.1 HDMI) as the brain cells are overloaded with a condo move at the moment.  Plan to do a line by line comparison of them later when I can write everything down.  The reviews also indicate that the blacks are likely better on the X90J too and, as the wider viewing angle isn't an issue to me, that might keep me in favour of the X90J.

Here is a US comparison specs might differ slightly for the Asean Market

https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/sony-x950h-vs-sony-x90j/1777/21562?usage=1&threshold=0.10

Personally I went for the x950h and have no issue with black levels they are not inky black like an OLED but come pretty close

I found the standard settings when opening the box to bright, brightness was set to 35 and colour was set to 60, I found brightness needs to be set to around 3 for SD and colour set to 50

This video is useful for both Android and Google sets as there are lots of icons that you might not require and they take up memory and screen space

11 Little-Known Hacks to Speed Up Your Sony TV Performance

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SW1S68w4Uvc

On the x950h if you reverse the feet i.e put left foot rightside and right foot leftside you can reduce the footprint of the stand down to 80cm

if viewing in shops looking at the oled demos gives you a good idea of black levels performance
