Another favourite song featuring mandolin is R.E.M.'s Losing My Religion off of their '91 Out Of Time album.

One of my faves as well. Also one of REM's best IMHO.

Early British rock 'n roll.  Wonderful, init?

The B-side, You Went Away, should bring back some memories, too, then.

I think I must've played it once. Sometimes, "B-sides" really were "B-sides".  :cheesy:

Manfred Mann performing Do Wah Diddy back in '64.

A weird one, but OK.

The Honeycombs with Have I the Right from '64.

One of my "Tips for No. 1" that I used to make. ????

The Rolling Stones performing It's All Over Now in June of '64.

Brian Jones' guitar - brilliant.

Mott The Hoople with I Wish I Was Your Mother off of their '73 Mott LP.

I saw them in the early '70s at South Parade Pier, Southsea, Portsmouth. Can't remember too much about it!  ????

The only Led Zep I ever bought was no. 2 and this was my favourite track:

Yes, I've got the original vinyl of that one too. I hope it's still where I left it 20 years ago.

Pretty sure I saw them in the early '70s at South Parade Pier, Southsea, Portsmouth.

They were a wonderful progressive band.  Radio Free Europe was their first non-album single back in '81 and got a lot of airplay.

Don't think I ever heard of these guys stateside.  The last track, Groundhog, is a wonderful blues number.  I gave it a second listen.

A live cover version of John Lee Hooker's No More Doggin' at The Marquee Club off of their '68 Scratching The Surface album.

John Lee Hooker's No More Doggin' first recorded in '53.  This is a later version.

I appreciate your personal feedback on those numbers, JetsetBkk.  :jap:

Dave Berry with the Ray Davies penned This Strange Effect recorded in '65.

I had bought their '72 All The Young Dudes album solely on the strength of the LP's title track.  What a pleasant and satisfying surprise after getting it home and listening to the rest of the tracks.

I could play the whole album.  Their cover of Lou Reed's Sweet Jane was a standout.

All The Way From Memphis off of their '73 Mott LP, set to an old 20's Felix The Cat cartoon.

Just figured I'd put this up here for 80s Music fans. My sister is at a concert in Los Angeles today with some great bands. Not everyone was into the alternative stuff but if you were you'd probably recognize a lot of the people playing there.

That's quite a list . . . for 80's fans.

In this case, for late 70's fans . . . Public Image Ltd with Public Image off of their '78 Public Image: First Issue debut LP.

Morrissey with the title track of his '88 Everyday Is Like Sunday EP.

My all time fave from the Smiths . . . How Soon Is Now, their '85 non-album single.  As with all great tunes, the full or extended versions only!

Excellent lyrics, too.

I am the son

and the heir

of a shyness that is criminally vulgar

I am the son and heir

of nothing in particular

. . . .

The only Vietnamese/Chinese track I have on my pickup's stereo, but nice!

"Nhat Ky" : Vietnamese for "Diary"

One of the few Thai tracks on my pickup's stereo.

Bird (Thongchai McIntyre) - Do You Know (That I Miss You)

The banjo, another fabulous instrument in the right hands.
