BANGKOK, Jan 6 (TNA) – The Level 4 COVID-19 alert was raised to warn people to protect themselves from infection and there will not be an across-the-board lockdown, according to the Department of Disease Control.

Dr Opas Karnkawinpong, director-general of the department, said the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) would introduce the disease control measures that would suit different zones of COVID-19 situations.

Under the COVID-19 alert at its level 4, people are asked to avoid risky areas and places with poor ventilation, refrain from having meals and drinking alcohol with others and postpone inter-provincial trips on public transport vehicles.

That is some excellent face mask wearing going on there, if we all wore them like that then this pandemic would be over in 2 weeks.

People keep making silly memes like this - really they are very, very irresponsible:

The customers will catch covid, have the sniffles for 2-5 days, be fine and then go back drinking stronger than ever

Yet they will do it despite the Level 4 warning and shutdowns...alas more arrests will occur.

It's a field day for cops as they attempt to recoup the protection money lost when companies folded.

In these uncertain Covid times, it's quite a thrill to come across a naked face occasionally. 555 ????

I fear you are correct.... reactive rather than proactive is what we usually see. Unless they take a page out of how Australia and to some extent England is reacting. They surely cannot go ahead with nightlife opening, but whether they clamp down on the restaurants and bars is yet to be seen......
