Thailand Pass suspension among measures to curb new COVID wave, no lockdown imposed

Tourists entering Thailand on a “Thailand Pass”, granted under the minimal quarantine “Test and Go” program, may do so until January 15th, instead of January 10th, but new applications for the “Thailand Pass” will remain suspended until further notice, according to the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) today (Friday).

MOPH Tightens Measures to Cope With Omicron

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Ministry of Public Health asked the Centre for Covid-19 Situation to introduce tougher measures to curb the latest Covid-19 outbreak. The CCSA will consider various measures that may come into effect including banning alcohol consumption in restaurants.

Senior naval officer dismissed from service for his alleged drunken misconduct

An apparently drunken high-ranking naval officer, whose images went viral on social media last month as he was berating, insulting and intimidating police and employees of a restaurant in the Sattahip district of Chon Buri province, was dismissed from military service without pension today (Friday), in an order signed by Defence Permanent Secretary General Worakiat Rattananont.

Before the pandemic, Thailand was one of the Danes’ favorite holiday destinations outside Europe. Almost 170,000 Danes visited the country in 2019 alone but since the pandemic closed the country’s borders in March 2020 not many tourists have arrived and the country’s empty beaches are a testimonial to that.

Chon Buri reports 1,342 new COVID-19 infections on Friday, most cases in Banglamung

COVID-19 infections in the eastern coastal province of Chon Buri continue to surge, with 1,342 new cases being recorded in the past 24 hours, including clusters among students at two universities, and with more than half of the cases reported from Banglamung district which covers the beach town of Pattaya.

On top of uncertainty over waves linked to the delta variant and now the emergence of the omicron variant, there’s the matter of the coronavirus tests needed to travel.

Bang Sue Vaccination Center Accepting Booster Registrations via Mobile Providers

Voluntary curfew in Ubon Ratchathani, 23 eateries closed in Chiang Mai as COVID infections surge

Three More Provinces Added to Sandbox Program, Test & Go Pre-approved Applicants Allowed to Enter Thailand
