Just got the old one sorted after 4 years of difficulty and they changed it again lol. Looks like maybe for the better though. Has everyone had better luck with the new system? I put my application in and says successful. The last year or so they were automatically being approved, I figured with the covid situation. What's the deal now? Is it your local IO approves them or they are approved HO level? Was always a problem before as we used to need to call them to ask them go and check, sometimes not approved for a week. Often would get someone obviously too lazy to go check and say "system down" or not working and hang up. How are things working now?

Personally haven't used it as yet, however many positive reports including some from folk that previously were having on off relationship with previous online system.

Has to be an improvement.

Mate of mine who has perpetually been rejected by the old online reporting system over the past four years had his first-time success a few days back with the new online reporting system.

Got mine too Approved too, in about 2 hours time {shocking!}

Key elements are:

1) Can only apply 15-7 days before it's due; no sooner, no later.

2) CANNOT USE A VPN service during application.

3) Chrome works fine.

4) Use every pull-down menu, when offered, for entering data.

15 prior up to due date.

Previously 7 days prior.

Also with the 15 day sooner thinking that includes due date.

Put it another way 14 days prior.

Submitted my first attempt with the new model this morning..

not checked yet to see if it's been approved.

How long is the approval normally?

With the new system the answer to that question has been varied. Some quickly and others not.

My window actually opens Wednesday however I'm not going to use new system.

My history like many others were success then booted from online reports using "old" system.

With CW they like it posted 15 (14) days prior.

I don't want to be awaiting "pending" so will mail.

Some folk have had pending for few days followed by rejection.

No email yet... I'll give it a full 24 hours and check by logging in, in the morning.

The "old system" only worked for me 4 times in the last 5 years...

using identical info..

I'll hope the new one works better for me.

Please report back how it turns out for your report.

Of particular interest is reports from folks with success on new system who were previously banished using old system.

Personally going to sit back and see how it pans out. Will continue with mail reports for time being as have it down pat now.

Good luck.

As posted above, it seems to work for me.

BUT the application prior to this one, stuck on Pending right up to 2 days before "D-day".

So I emailed PT office quoting the TFN number, and date of submission and enquired when it would be approved.

Next morning....."APPROVED" email arrived

Try that.

I like everyone else have had issues over the last 4 or 5 years. I did work out though last year or two that it pays to keep trying. Got the "contact your IO" message but tried again a few times later and successful. I found it never worked for me on weekends or out of office hours.

@DrJack54

Maybe early morning on the first day of the 15 days prior to expiry give it a go?

If nothing comes back in 24 hours do the usual post method... nothing lost in trying if it works for you.

No need to bother going to the post office etc.

After 4 years of grief and Visit your immigration office messages I was optimistic... but it worked.

Best of luck

That's exactly what I had in mind however I already have all my "stuff" ready for posting and while I'm tempted to give the new online a go, think I will post this one and over next few months look for reports such as yours.

In particular folk that have had issues in the past.

Lets say the online 90day 'by post' window starts this morning and you use today (24hrs) and try the online system. Tomorrow morning if no email send the 90day by post. Would that be fine ? or possibly your online is accepted more than 24 hours then you have the online accepted plus a posted 90 day on the way.......sounds messy

Yeah thought of that.

The one thing with the rejection from previous online was it was instant.

We almost grew fondness of that friendly message..."report to your local immigration office".

The slight trouble with the new chap is that some folk are not receiving a reply for few days.

To be fair seems the majority are obtaining positive reply is say under 24 hours.

Clearly (at this stage) seems to be an improvement.

I'm in a groove with mail in option so no big deal.

CW return all my photocopies and new TM47. Bit surprised with that.

Yes, they were. Never had a problem in the last few years.

Thanks for your report.

As you can imagine high interest in the "new online" system from the numerous people that have previously had no/mixed success with previous system.

It's encouraging that there have been reports of success from the banished.
