Does anyone know of any particular models that you can plug into the wall (2 prong) and that'll take a Thai plug?

Preferably one that you can log into via a browser, but if it features a phone app exclusively that's acceptable.

Thanks ppl.

If you press the power button on that thing, can it be reactivated via app? And how do you configure it initially with your wifi details?

The TP Link smart plug connects initially through your wifi router, and then, having installed the app, that then sets the timer for on/off etc plus on/off override.   Instructions come with the plug.    I have six lights downstairs with these on.

Not quite correct on the setup,

First you need the app.

Then you connect to the plug Wi-Fi on your mobile device(the device has an SSID but no password)

This allows the app to see the socket.

Then you change to your home 2.4GHz network on your mobile device and the app will Transfer the SSID and password to the socket and set this into NVMR

After that, as mentioned you do the rest of the setup and updating through the app.

You do understand it's only the HS models that do energy monitoring?

And the cheapest one costs 1,500bht.

Is there some reason you want to spend 250bht on TP-Link?

When the Tuya sockets do exactly the same for 150bht.

Just seems a bit odd to me!

There are often sales on them.339EA682-29EA-45B6-B7D1-5A996FAD1FE1.jpeg.28cbd1e0b5dc393e97cd3df16a0971ab.jpeg

and a reason to use TP-Link is the lifespan of support.

The only shop on Lazada with stock now wants 2,000bht each.

Your Lazada fue is lacking as I can find at least 3 stores at more than 500 Baht less than that.

and as I said I waited for a sale to get my price.

I don't need energy monitoring, only remote switching.

I'd pay more if it can be delivered from a local source rather than it being shipped and a 100 baht difference really doesn't worry me either way.

I fell into using the lutron brand here but they are now approaching 25$.  They solved a many year issue I had with a high quality dumb outdoor light transformer.  For some reason a timer plugged into it changed time but worse is our daylight time change in the season's here.  I want lights on 15 mins after sunset and in for a few hours and now I can control this from my phone.   I don't really know if I'm using the best zlink or  to link for future while house automation as I'm not trying to do that yet if ever.
