Provincial health officials have offered a glimmer of hope (of sorts) that Hua Hin’s nightlife will be allowed to resume later this month.

The operators of bars and pubs in Hua Hin have been invited to submit an application to the local authorities to seek permission to reopen.

Applications must be submitted before 15 January 2022.

From the attached article:

Venues will need to have an SHA+ certification and meet other disease control measures.

Not much business for hotels so they need to get them opened as Hospitels but need a market for them, same as Pattaya.

Will there be any tourists/visitors in Hua Hin/Soi Bindabaht to become customers for these bars/restaurants to welcome?

Wow..Pandemic has really made Thai politicians innovative.............NOT!!

Basically, not many!!!!  A small handful of bars/pubs in the Soi 80, 94 and Bintabaht areas are doing good business, most have a few good nghts a week, but many are struggling, and some have closed again.

The New Year "Boom" was really a small "Bang" (pun intended), which has now dissapated.  The same with many of the massage shops around Soi 55, 57, etc.

Our golfing group (+20 strong all from England) normally visit HH every February for +2 weeks but (for the 2nd year in succession) last week our Organiser cancelled our trip for next month after the Thai authorities re-introduced the Sandbox scheme (and did not include HH in it?) as a minimum 7 day delay (to be spent elsewhere in Thailand) before any onward travel to HH is allowed?
