Thai PBS followed up on a story on their site in which a job listing was made by a man seeking a drinking companion so that he could deliberately get Covid.

He was after what Thais call a "dek ent" or young woman for a bit of 'entertainment' so that he could claim on insurance.

Essentially commit insurance fraud, suggest ASEAN NOW.

Dr Opas Kankavinpong, director of the Department of Disease Control, didn't comment on the illegality of the listing.

Instead he concentrated on what he described as the folly of actually trying to get infected with Covid.

He pointed out the numerous health complications that could befall someone doing this.

Yes, the symptoms could be very mild but you could also end up in ICU being intubated.

And health complications could persist after infection anywhere between 3 and six months.

It really was not worth it, reported PBS in their headline.
