OneMoreFarang Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 I like electric installations like this which makes it very easy to add additional cables and outlets. How is this called in Thailand (in English or Thai)? Who sells these? I looked at the usual construction online (and offline) shops in Thailand but I didn't find them. Here is an article with lots of pictures https://www.flameport.com/john_ward_electrician/portfolio/2019a.cs4
Crossy Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 I'll have to check the size when I get home, but I got some big trunking of that style from Global. Of course you would have to cut out for the outlets yourself. "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Here is a UK link which I found. https://www.prowlinglions.co.uk/product/dado/ If possible I want to buy a system with includes all the little details ready to install.
Crossy Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 Yeah ^^^, that's something I've never seen here, it's pretty rare to even find the corner fittings for normal trunking ???? 1 "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"
OneMoreFarang Posted January 14, 2022 Author Posted January 14, 2022 I just found a video from a German company - without any German talking.
Yellowtail Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 I have not seen it either, but trunking and surface-mount boxes are very cheap, are very easy to install, look pretty good and are available everywhere. Trunking in HomePro's search box. Ragging the corners with silicone sealant really dresses them up nice...
OneMoreFarang Posted January 14, 2022 Author Posted January 14, 2022 I just contacted a Thai company which sells some items from that German company from the video. Let's look what they say. Here is the SG page with some details: https://www.hager.sg/cable-management/lifea-trunking/2845.htm
Cake Monster Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 Seems to work on the same idea as the 440 V Bus Bar used in the UK
Yellowtail Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 It does not look nor appear to work anything like the buss-duct & plugs used in the US. 1
mick220675 Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 RS sell dado trunking and all the accessory's for it, you can order online. My local electrical wholesalers in Buriram have a Schneider electrical dado display, so you must be able to get it all over Thailand. 1

recom273 Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 I’m also had dado trunking on my shopping list for the office. The trunking I used before was different to the German brand. It had 3x channels so the data and power didn’t run together. You also need the back boxes to fit in the middle channel. The stuff from RS seems a bit pricey.
kamalabob2 Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 The OP might consider contacting Schneider in Thailand and perhaps https://www.bticino.co.th/en/showroom/ Legrand might offer what the OP is seeking. If he can buy it locally in Thailand from a Schneider dealer or via Legrand he might have a better overall buying experience than through an online service with no warehouse in Thailand such as RS. https://www.se.com/ww/en/product-range/61226-ultra/ 1

I will definitely have a look what they have. The picture (opening the link above) looks promising with lots of items on display.
