Helmet repainting

Featured Replies

I will repaint a new helmet in chrome colour

know anyone a good painter in or around Bangkok ?

As long as it's not reflective, as could be an issue for other drivers.

If it was me I'd want to make sure that what ever solvents are used for the spray do not affect the shell.

One can buy chrome paint in an aerosol.

A bit of masking tape and newspaper and bingo a bit of DIY.

If the original paint is left intact then there will be no perceived chemical action.

Surely reflectivity will be a benefit as it increases the visibility of the rider. Like hanging a compact disc on the back.

On the compact disc theme. I have noticed that their reflectivity is a definite issue for other road users????

Ok if simply fluorescent, but not if it reflects the sunlight in other driver's eyes.

Why such coatings / materials are illegal in some USA states.

But we are not in Kansas anymore. Get over it?

We are in the land of the free.
