Thanks and the fees please and can you confirm one can go to the offices and did notice in Bangkok up until end of 2021 one had to have booking.
Can anyone help me with the queries and thanks so much

Varies from office to office, some time over the next 4 months it best to pop into your local DLT, they will have the answers to your questions...

Indeed queues can vary a lot between offices.

But as you only need extension the procedure reduces to physical/reaction/eye test and maybe watching a video, so queue should not be that bad.

Some offices have a foreigner walk-in quota per day, first come, first serve.

Seems there is a now an online procedure that you can do ahead.

But I am not up-to-date on that.

You can do extension 3 months ahead of due date.

But why would you?

If you hold a 5 year license, enjoy your birthday on May 22 and go shortly after that.

Gives you almost 6 years of validity.

Medical certificate is mandatory for all license issuing/extensions since a while.

Renewed my 5 yr late last year at banglamung.

No med cert required.

As I said in my previous post, not all require the same so best to go into the office and ask what they require.

As I wrote: "since a while". Can't tell exactly when they changed the rule but they did.

Before it was 5yr to 5yr no certificate required.

Someone must have noticed how absurd that is.

Well lets hope the OP goes into his local DLT to find out what is required rather than rely on stale outdated info members post here.

Baffles me why people post outdated information.

Seems you have done your extension before February 19, 2021.

Which part of each dept has different interpretation of the requirements and one should go in person to them to ask rather than rely on stale out dated information and heresy from random people do you not understand ?

I was at Banglamung on Friday to make an appointment in person and one of the requirements IS a medical certificate.

They gave me a date of 15th February.
