exactly how fast she was driving as well as how long she braked for before the moment

Close to warp speed, 0 seconds.

It takes a lot to crash a CLS250 to such a heap of scrap.

In broad daylight!

Maybe very busy doing business on her smartphone?

From the headline 'no charges yet'.

I would be more worried about the hospital charges.

She seems to have well filled accounts and likely a "platinum" type insurance card.

I'm sure that they could remove and analyse the on board computer data to determine exactly how fast she was driving as well as how long she braked for before the moment of impact.  RIP to the passenger.
