Contamination Found at 2 Locations in Rayong Sea

RAYONG, Feb 15 (TNA) – The Pollution Control Center in the eastern province found contamination at two of six locations where its officials earlier collected seawater samples off Mae Ramphueng beach in Muang district on Feb 3 and 4 following crude oil leakage late last month.

24 customers and employees arrested at “restaurant” in Hat Yai for allegedly violating Songkhla’s Covid-19 preventive orders

A total of 24 customers and employees from a “restaurant” (converted bar) in Hat Yai were captured last night for allegedly organizing partying and drinking to celebrate Valentine’s Day without complying with Covid-19 preventive measures, violating the Provincial Communicable Disease Committee’s order.

Pheu Thai Party deputy spokesperson, Treechada Srithada (centre), this week, expressed misgivings about the large number of people entering Thailand under the relaunched Test and Go regime. She warned they are free to travel throughout the kingdom from Day 1 to Day 5 when a second COVID-19 PCR test is required. It comes as Minister of Tourism and Sports, Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn (inset right), has announced a postponement of the ฿300 foreign tourist levy due to be introduced in April until June this year.

The capital of Thailand’s name to officially be changed to Krung Thep Maha Nakhon

Thailand’s Office of the Royal Society (ORST) has announced the change of the official name of Thailand’s capital, from “Bangkok” to “Krung Thep Maha Nakhon”. The name “Bangkok” will, however, still be recognised by officials.

Improvements to Thailand Pass services are being made to improve the experience of users and provide travelers with more convenience. A new entry pathway called TPHS has now been approved and promises to cut the time travelers need to spend with Thailand Pass.
