Chuwit speaks out on "Tangmo": One million % not murder as media frenzy continues

Thai media continued to follow every lead, every angle in the case of the death of celebrity Tangmo.

 

The superstar was found dead in the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok last week after falling off a boat and the Thai media has been on a feeding frenzy ever since.

 

Now they have given column inches to the opinion of former soapy massage boss, politician and convicted felon Chuwut Kamolwisit who was interviewed on Facebook by top presenter Sorayuth Suthassanachinda. 

 

Chuwit said that in his opinion it was "one million percent" not an accident caused by her urinating over the side of the boat, reported Siam Rath. 

 

After all there were plenty of restaurants on the river to stop at. 

 

He also gave similar odds to it not being murder saying that it was surely negligence of some kind. 

 

Wouldn't you chose a quiet place to commit murder, he noted. 

 

He dismissed the notion that something untoward sexually was going on pointing out that it's easy to hire entertainment girls for such purposes.

 

He also supported the mother of Tangmo who had asked for 30 million baht compensation. 

 

He said she shouldn't be blamed as she was now alone and was "striking while the iron was hot" to make money.

 

"Who wouldn't," he stated matter of factly. "If you can't get money what can you get?"

 

Chuwit is a popular figure in the Thai media well known for his often practical and insightful views on the nightlife industry and corruption issues, notes ASEAN NOW. 

 

It is no surprise to see him consulted in what has become a 24/7 media circus.

Facts as I know them. 

 

- Woman was found with a body suit.

- Woman had a major laceration to her upper inner thigh.

- Senior military figure had hired a riverside hotel room.

- Tangmo only knew one of the three guys on the boat.

- Two guys on the boat were known (assistants) to the senior military figure.

 

 

What happened ?? - (speculation follows) .

 

‘Friend’ (term used loosely) of Tangmo tried to ‘pimp her out’ and tricked her into a boat ride with ‘friends’. 

 

The two guys had arranged for Tangmo to ‘meet’ with their ‘senior military figure’.

 

Tangmo knew nothing of this, but when they were close to the hotel, she found out what was going and resisted. This resistance tuned physical and Tangmo ended up being pushed of the back of the boat, her leg caught the prop, severing her femoral artery, she quickly bled out and died. 

 

The ‘group’ then panicked and attempted to cover their tracks and made up the story about ’Tangmo pee’ing and falling out of the boat’.

Admit that I am not a native English speaking person, however, "one million percent" not an accident..." does this not contradict the headline? And does it not contradict the reports of her "friends", too?

First we have Tangmo’s mother claiming foul play, that her daughter was attacked. 

 

Then she is ‘gifted’ 30 million baht and publicly states that all is forgiven !!! 

 

The mother clearly has an absent moral compass.

I do remember hearing that after the incident they hurriedly headed back to port and scurried away ......a lot of the story told smells fishy...

Apparently she isn't even her real mother and had little to do with taking care of her after her real mother died........(only getting this second hand)....... It is indeed a common reality here that kids are the future financial support for parents in their old age.

 

In her case, being 38 years old and a well established star, might you expect that her estate has a reasonable worth already and probably enough to support a mother in her 70s for a comfortable retirement ?

 

This whole rapidly arranged THB 30 million settlement smells rotten on both sides of the deal...

Your theory is plausible. It explains why the manager didn't call mom for 3 days. It explains the boat speeding and circling looking for her or proping her.   Now explain the male voice on the video. Wasn't it "she brought a friend".   Lots can be learned by the tone of voice used in a  sentence if in ones native language. Better still if they are familiar with the speaker.  

It would seem an investigation into her financial transactions for the last few months is needed.  If someone fell off a small boat, with only a small group onboard, that I was on we wouldn't leave the scene until help arrived or our lives were in peril, or out of gas. 

Why was the prop washed or swapped in the deep six? What about the timeline clash with video showing lights off on the bridge?   

Oh Columbo we need you.  

Was the toilet working or not? Thai are quite shy without privacy.  I can't imagine a hiso star peeing off the back of a river boat in a big city in front of strangers.

I do as well a millions of Thai who know it's a 2 tiered justice system in Thailand.  The connected and rich can get away with anything.  Thai people including my wife ear this stuff up.  She says because she is beautiful and an actress and they suspect rich man gives money to police. All super rich people on board.  Even the driver rich.  And the ladyboy too.  Why was super rich owner there? Sand the one who says she was hand rail and saw the fall is super rich.  Probably the poor ones here are manager and Tangmo. 

I haven't read actual facts regarding ranking military man renting room nearby or   his 2 assistants on the boat connection, but wife has. She has with a skeptical view on this because my wife always tries to root for the side of police and military.  Even when we watch movies.

I don't have a clue about the rest of it, but that's an easy answer.  Props for 300HP Mercury's are like hen's teeth in Thailand, where Yamahas are the predominant large outboard engine.  They needed to take it off to analyze it, then put it back on for the re-enactment.  Otherwise, it may have been weeks looking for and/or waiting on a spare.

 

It probably fell off because someone forgot the cotter pin (or didn't bend the pin correctly)

What you describe is correct, but it'll never change, like it or leave it.
