Pattaya – Pattaya Police have continued to crack down on motorbike racers in Pattaya, following numerous complaints from local residents about both noise and dangerous driving.

The Pattaya City Police reports that Pattaya City Police Chief Colonel Kunlachart Kunlachai has ordered to continue crackdown on motorbike racers in Pattaya.

Last night (March 6th) they were notified that many motorbike racers from Nakhon Racthasima were gathering in the Pattaya area.

Another soft-on "crackdown" on racing.....? The RTP, everywhere, have these short lasting crackdowns and even, believe it not, confiscate bikes...but give them back:))

Crush the bikes, eventually they will give up coming.

From my elevated day-time/night-time view of Thrappaya and Thepprasit Roads in Pattaya, it's a free-for-all. Nary a mobile cop to be seen. They are too busy at stationary "toll booths".

'it was a top priority for his officers to stop the illegal and dangerous activity, saying it saves lives.'

A blinding flash of realisation seeps into Pattaya's top cop.  Now if he could just persuade the 99% of other officers to this point of view,  perhaps Thailand's road fatalities might drop into 3rd place in the World's league table.

They should open up The Bira track to them..... install some electric polies for them to hit, maybe sell alcohol!
