Popular Post ppatrick Posted March 10, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 10, 2022 Hi, I've been in many countries. Only rain in Bangkok makes me sick (flu like symptoms). The only way to prevent the sickness is to quickly wash my head/hair right away. I wonder why this is the case. Does Bangkok air have a special kind of flu that gets activated when combining with the rain and our head skin? ???? Anyone experience this or have a better way to deal with it? Thanks. 3

The rain in BKK--or anywhere else--has never caused me to get sick. You get the flu from a virus, not the rain. 6 1 2

daveAustin Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 Patrick, more likely a weakened/sensitive immune system and rain disturbing bacteria and other nasties on the ground and getting them in the air. Why getting sick more in Bangkok? Tropics and perhaps just more nasties. 1
