Bangkok Bank, Jomtien question

I will be renewing my retirement extension at Jomtien Immigration for the first time, later this month.  In the past I have always done this at Chang Wattana.

My B800K is in my Bangkok Bank account.  I seem to recall seeing a notice posted inside the Jomtien 2nd Rd. branch that the account verification letter had to be applied for a certain number of days in advance but I don't remember the details.

Does anybody have experience with this?  I do understand I must do the bankbook update on the day of renewal.

I'd go check myself but there is always a long line out front just to get inside the office.

They issue those documents upstairs, just walk straight to upstairs and take queue ticket there, don't take ticket downstairs. Typically couple of persons in queue, maybe few.

I always taken the doc in morning, and then go direct to immigration from there. I also recall it is 100 baht. I recall reading somewhere that day before might be ok as well but not sure. Anyway easy to do during same trip. Morning bank and afternoon immigration.

Remember to make a transaction on that day before you walk up, either deposit or withdraw same day prior to update bankbook.

Personally always got mine on the way to immigration.......update book, letter, scrounge a copy of the passbook off the bank, and away to immigration.

Did mine a couple of months ago, everything on the same day, but at the Bangkok Bank in Central Festival, went around 1100, got the letter/updated book in about 15 minutes, had a nice lunch then off to the IO.
