We have plenty of scope with other countries and their leaders including Thailand who farm their ill gotten gains all over the world ................ apply the rules to them all

Yeah, but who is Thailand going to try and annex first ? Only real country they could try that on is Laos, and the subs would be no use there !

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said whether the House should be dissolved or not would depend on his decision and he would base it on situations.

His decision... not the peoples?

Of course the PM is the only one who can dissolve parliament, which would in fact dissolve his cabinet and a new election would be needed with a caretaker government including a caretaking PM put in place before hand.  Of course this PM would never allow any of that to happen, he still has the remainder of his 20 year roadmap to complete before he leaves office.  Hello President Chan O Cha regent for life.

Bet he has a photo of Putin on the wall in his home...555.

Somebody has to tell me the difference of the present circus in the government house compared to the days of Phibul and Sarit except that their VIP flights are leaving from Swampy and no longer from Don Meuiouioung airport ????

This coming from someone who DID NOT want to be the PM, promised he would step aside as soon as things 'were resolved' and kept insisting thereafter he has no wish to continue as a PM. This Fishstop ChaCha is nothing but a load of bullpoop.

What about a "vote of no confidence" passing or HM calling for it?

Like that would ever happen with a room full of appointed senators and the big man already calling the shots, thats in my view.  The PM is just a figurehead.

House MP's can call for VNC. But a successful VNC requires a simple majority vote of the House MP's. But Prayut's pro-military coalition has repeatedly voted against no confidence.

The PM can unilaterally dissolve Parliament.

But a simple majority of House MP's in a vote of no confidence can also dissolve Parliament. But given that Prayut's pro-military coalition has repeatedly votes successfully against a VNC, it would be up to Prayut to dissolve the House otherwise.
