Tenants Rights

Featured Replies

Just moved into this condo with a signed 12 month contract, just had a call, the agent wants to show a buyer round, what are my rights if this condo is sold thanks. Ken

Unless it is stated in your contract you are under no obligation... change the locks!

It could be sold with you as a sitting tenant........... same contract???

the right to move to another place

when you rented were you informed it was up for sale, did you ask if it was also for sale

we are talking about Thailand here, good luck with the contract

You want rights, go back where you came from.

That being said, my wife is selling a condo with tenants in. If the condo is sold and the tenants are not assumed during the 1 year contract she has to refund all the payments the tenants made during the contract period.

But that's my wife. She is a kind and gentle person.

had a couple as tenants in my condo, when they sign the contract they knew I had it for sale and told them as (like you wife) I am a nice/gentle person I would allow them to stay free for 1 month following the sale.... didn't happen as no buyers show up

Make sure nobody steals anything with prospective buyers browing around. Many agents don't watch closely when giving tours.
