A hoodlum in Ratchaburi in central Thailand went to get his mates when a 7-Eleven staffer in Ratchaburi reminded him to wear a mask in the store to stop Covid spread.

 

He was shocked that the underling in the store should have the temerity to be ordering him about.

Three mates swelled his ranks and his confidence. Then they all attacked Phattamon Malai with dangerous kicks to the neck leaving him unconscious.

 

But the police have now made four arrests of men called Anon, Khajornsak, Sakda and Arthit.

They are saying nothing, reported Daily News.

 

But the police say they have clear CCTV evidence to make an assault causing grievous bodily harm charge stick.

Good police work for a change at least they have been caught. I hope they throw the book at them.

 

I arrived back from overseas, quarantined, got home etc... 

Popped out to 7-11, got out of my car, waltzed in through the door and was met with ‘horrified gasps, shrieks and a cacophony of voices’....   it them dawned on me that I’d forgotten my mask...   

No biggie, apologies and back to the car to get the mask. 

 

 

The guys in this story...   they didn’t beat up the 7-11 staff because he asked them to wear a mask, they beat up the 7-11 staff because they were looking for any excuse to get violent with anyone they could outnumber who could not defend themselves...

 

Cowardice scum - I hope the get locked up.

Funny how they always need to get their friend to do something like this. You would think they would be man enough to accept what they where asked to do.

The men here cant seem to handle their own battles one on one.  So they have to get their buddies.  Seems to be fairly common here. 

The " bricks " even had to sucker punch him when they dragged him out side.

Couldn't do it face to face.

Would be nice for 7-11 to support their staff and ask the police to prosecute.

Funny, then, that not far from my home there's a prison where I can clearly see maybe 100 or more prisoners in the compound when I pass. But I'm sure you know better.

The fact that they do this knowing full well that there is always plenty of CCTV in and around these stores means that 1 - they are too dumb to know that and/or 2 - they believe the police wouldn't care about what they did and they would not face jail time. Wrong on both counts.

They hung around for quite a while after the event , and the main culprit was seen to walk over and Wai somebody at the end of the video clip. They did not appear to be bothered if the police turned up , though it was gone midnight and they were probably aware that the police are asleep .

Actually that happens in most countries where this sort of violence takes place. Which includes most countries in the world of course.

Well maybe they attended a children's day event in the past so already shown how to hold and aim a weapon. Hopefully these events will never return since Covid.

Show me a general that advocates walking into a fair fight, and I'll show you one that won't last long. 

 

In Thailand, the objective of a fight is to win the fight.  Not to prove manhood, like back home.
