Popular Post webfact Posted March 31, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 31, 2022 Sanook Thai Caption: Grab and snatch! A video doing the rounds of Thai social media shows a western man on a night out with his mates. The mood is light as they walk down Sukhumvit Road Soi 21 clearly on the lookout for some action. In fact the guy in shot says with a leer: "I will show you guys around". Unfortunately this bravado is a tad outplaced. And the title of the clip is about to come true: "Be careful of the ladyboy gansters". Within seconds a ladyboy has put her hand round the foreigner's neck and is appearing to slather the "hansum man" in kisses". He appears to enjoy this attention, reported Sanook. Keep up to date with all things Thailand - Join our daily ASEAN NOW Thailand Newsletter - Click to subscribe He doesn't realise he is now minus one nice gold chain that was around his neck. His smile after the ladyboy encounter proved that. The video was posted on the site that translates "So You Wanna Be Famous" - the foreigner is certainly that now. Whether he gets his necklace back will depend on the ladyboy being identified, and a tattoo makes that likely. The incident happened on Tuesday 29th March around 11 pm in the area of the Westin Hotel. Why does it sound like the writer is experiencing some joy or amusement at the fact that this guy is the victim of a crime? 9 2

Popular Post pokerface1 Posted March 31, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 31, 2022 Well when she saw him she must have thought I better grab it before someone else does. At least she made him feel good or gave him a good feel. Someone else might have mugged him to get the chain. Either way it was going to disappear at some stage during his night out. 14 1 1

cdemundo Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 (edited) My first thought is was he very drunk? Could not tell from the video, but thieves seem to target those who are obviously drunk. Edited March 31, 2022 by cdemundo edit after seeing video 1

She was sat on a bus ( in England ) going to work when as she got off at her stop , the young bloke behind her grabbed her 2 baht chain and legged it. Talk about gutted....she cried for a week. I had warned her frequently about this but she had to learn the hard way. Moral of the story, listen to good advice. 2 2 1

Perhaps she does other things to distract the guy, but if someone immediately grabs your necklace you would think that you would notice. Also it's fairly clear he is recording, so it seems a little foolish to try to rob him. Not sure it's a chain worth stealing either. 1 1

Maybe it was it just a $5 costume jewelry necklace? Staged incident? There is an old saying something like: Do not wear/carry anything in Thailand you cannot afford to lose 3

And why is does that prove or disprove anything? Someone that knows them might recognise them and the video might help them find them again or prove that they did it. Besides, it doesn't really matter whether we can or not, the fact is that someone recording a video of the person you are considering stealing from might make you reconsider whether to go through with it, which was my original point. 1

Had a girl cousin sitting in her car in Boston, MA USA at a red light with window open. When the light changed to green a guy yanked off her chain and ran. Similar to another girl cousin sitting on a train in Boston. When the doors were closing a guy reached back in and ripped the chain off her neck. No need to flaunt your wealth in Thailand especially in these times when so many have been with out jobs for so long and are struggling. 2

Have never ever heard a story like yours. Window down in car must have happened during our 8 week summer lol.
