There was a topic on this back in the day but it seems to have gone.

I am looking for printer ink. Specifically Canon 811 or 81 XL.

Usual suspects no have. (PowerBuy, Big C etc)

Invade IT no have.

Lazada have some dodgy versions. ie no box or Chinese writing. (Not a fan of Shopee.)

Any suggestions as to where I can buy the genuine article please?

I buy my Canon cartridges from www.invadeit.co.th

Whether they are the cheapest or not, I don't know but they are genuine Canon cartridges and with English as a first language any issues can be quickly resolved.

They are usually prepared to get an item in for me even if it is something they don't carry in stock.

Have you considered refilling.

Syringe from a pharmacy

Ink from a printer shop.

I did that for a while until I went CISS. ( Continuous Ink Supply System)

Local Mall printer shop can convert. Had a Canon with that for years.

Thanks - I use them as well. Really good guys.

Closed last week and when I placed an order this morning, they came back very quickly stating that their suppliers were all out of stock.

Always a good response from them.

I buy screens and printers from them as well.

There is an official Canon store on Lazada and they have the 811

Thanks Neilly.

That never came up in my searches on Lazada.

Ordered and bookmarked. Let's see how quick they are.

Otherwise it might be worth checking Banana, nest to Lotus's in Bo Phut/Chaweng.

Thanks for that VocalNeil.

Yes, I had considered it but when I spoke to a good friend who used to work for HP (printer section) she advised against it.

It may cause problems for the printer. (May - not will.)

As the printer has trundled on for probably 15 years or more, I decided not to risk it.

It has outlived newer printers that I have bought and who knows, maybe one day I will install a phone line and use the fax function???

Thank you khunPer, I had not thought of them.

I will check them out next time.

I recently discovered, that when you just enter the plain brand-name of any company you´re searching for, into the search bar, the first suggestion which comes up, is the link to their particular "Flagship Store", if there is one for that brand.

Anyway, otherwise Lazadas search results are the usual hopeless endless mess of hundreds and hundreds of price-phishing shops, which all offer the same rubbish (reselling from Aliexpress) for fantasy prices. Tedious.

I love Lazada, i hate Lazada.

Agree but if you get a specific model/version number of something at least you can limit the search a bit.

My hate mode is overtaking my like mode.

I ordered two printer cartridges COD.

One arrived - paid for two.

My business partner told me that I should have video'd opening the boxes! No chance for a refund.

There is a chance if an honest mistake - contact seller and explain as first step.  I once had wrong size carts sent me and seller was able to confirm a shipping mistake.  I have also had one of item arrive COD (paying for two) and second arrived later without charge and before I could question.  Believe they may have to charge full order price on COD item even if only partial shipment (or at least when this happened it seemed that way).   But do understand they are pushing making video when opening these days.

I have wondered why printer shops have different ink for different printers I.e Canon, HP et al.

I had not thought of that.

Let's see what happens next.

Will add as thread revived that Canon 810/811 carts seem to be back in supply (but no XL versions) and have bought within last several weeks.
