"Where goes Thailand get its oil, gasoline, diesel and cooking gas ?"   Oil is imported from US, Saudi, UAE, Nigeria, Angola. Natural gas is imported from Qatar and Mynmar.

Actually it doesn't, although it is/was a supplier.   I have spent about 20 minutes digging into Google and this is the best (and newest I could find), purely out of curiosity. It is undated

I'd love to know what big concessions were given to Russian tourists as part of the agreement.

 Russian tourists operate differently.

All other tourists -assuming that they fly in -use Suvarnabhumi Airport-in the main.

Russians use U-Tapao  airport near Rayong.

Further they fly in using Russian aircraft.

This means that  a Russian tourist can buy a classic package holiday  i.e. Flights, Hotels ,Transfers as a single  purchase.

Hotels in the village of Cozy Beach have been built to accommodate them.

Pattaya is also  popular destination.

This concession is somehow tied to the purchase of oil from Russia.

Wrong....Russia supplies Thailand with the majority of it,s oil.

And you know, How?

There is no logistical sense in that. Logic to the logistics says, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Middle East.

I don't think anything has changed trade wise, worldwide, except maybe wheat out of Ukraine.

It's price gouging, plain & simple.  Why oil companies are having record profits.  Same with all the fake shortages.  IMHO of course.

Yes, oil, gas and food prices.  Demand was depressed by the pandemic and it was tough for businesses to make price increases during the outbreak.  Now the Russian invasion of Ukraine is being used as an excuse to pass on major price rises to the customers.

"There's a war on, don't you know".

If these companies were really suffering, their profits would be falling, not rising.

Russia does supply Thailand with oil but it's only about 5-6% of it's oil imports. The major supplier to Thailand is Saudi Arabia
