Bangkok, 17 June, 2022 – Thailand’s Centre of COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) today approved the removal of the Thailand Pass registration scheme and an US$10,000 health insurance requirement for foreign visitors, effective 1 July, 2022. Both requirements were initially removed for Thai nationals from 1 June, 2022.

From 1 July, 2022, foreign nationals are only required to show proof of either a certificate of vaccination or a negative RT-PCR or professional ATK test result within 72 hours of travel. These can be in a print or digital format. Random checks will be made on arrivals at Thailand’s international airports or land border checkpoints (in 22 provinces). Unvaccinated/not fully vaccinated travellers who are random checked and who are unable to show proof of a pre-arrival negative test will be required to undergo a professional ATK test at the point of entry.

What is the time limit for boosted (3rd dose) ?

Three months or more now. Four months for the 4th booster.

Thailand is not requiring a booster shot for entry to the country at this time.

The Thailand Pass and covid 19 insurance will not be required effective July 1st.

There are several links news articles and updates about it in Thailand Live topic.

Not required, but advisable to have some sort of travel insurance according to the latest announcement.

I always get travel insurance from a company in Aus to cover time from departure to arrival back again.

Wonder if the companies currently offering "travel and covid 19 insurance" from Thailand will be still operational and able to cover the needs should they arrive in the future as they tend to be rather competitive in their policy pricing.

Especially when time in Thailand goes over the visa exempt 30 days......... maybe 45 days by November if we are lucky from what i hear.

Planning to come back early November.

We pushed it back a couple of months hoping things would improve, so good news for us and many others I'd imagine.

No info yet about the the covid 19 insurance yet in a news article.

With the greatest respect Joe, in this morning's Cambodian Press (18 June 2022):-

"Thailand Pass registration and compulsory Covid-19 insurance will be lifted for all people arriving in Thailand from July 1, a senior government spokesman said on Friday"
