Siam Rath went to Takua Pa district in Phang Nga in southern Thailand where they said they had heard about a hidden gem of a beach that few Thais know.

It's in the Khao Lak area where there are many beautiful beaches on the Andaman Coast but this one has some mysterious stones.

The locals call the pristine beach Khao Sabaa because of the stones that resemble a kind of nut used as a children's toy.

The rocks have been worn by erosion and some are very smoothe.

People wonder how they came to be arranged like they are.

The media took the opportunity to have several pretty ladies and a few others pose in front of the weird stones.

Locals have a legend about some unobtainable treasure in a cave on the hillside, "sabaa" blocking the entrance then slipping down to the beach to explain their presence.

Got to hand it to them, as they do succeed at calling everything and anything, an 'attraction'.

Got to admit, it is quite unusual.

Natural geology usually is.

Not at all. I wouldn't look twice at a hill or some other common natural formations, but those rock formations are unusual.  Like these.
