Hi there...

Just seeing if anyone could recommend the best place for cosmetic 'facial' surgery, assuming most places would be around BKK ?
Looked at Yanhee but there seems to be a lot of mixed reviews.

Thank you

My wife and I have had blepharoplasty done in Thailand. Hers was at Bangkok Pattaya Hospital and mine at Yanghee. Both were successful without any serious complications. I had a temporary problem with a stitch bit left under the skin, after their scheduled removal, and causing inflammation. This was rectified in a follow up procedure free of charge. However, a tiny bump in that place still remains.

I wouldn't go to any clinic.  If you do need to go, then I'd choose a hospital with a "plastic surgery " department; such as the Bangkok Hospitals.  Do a lot of research on the procedure you're interested in.

If you're browsing the internet then check out YouTube "plastic surgery fails", it's something to really need to think about if it's worth the risk.

It has to be a specialist for plastic surgery, not just a mor for everything.

Check his CV and where he got his degree.????

Check Masterpiece Hospital out in Bangkok.  They seem to be doing a lot of the HI-So's and Super Stars.  My GF went there for a Rhinoplasty and was treated very good.

Save your money for surgery you really need, and live with the way you look.

I've never found being old and ugly in Thailand is an impediment to ladies wanting to develop a more intimate relationship.

I had surgery done at Bumrungrad. I has basal cell carcinoma on my nose. Doc had to cut out a disc about the size of a one baht coin (bigger than it sounds, try it) and replace it with skin from behind my ear.

The surgeon usually does face lifts and such, but of course also this type of surgery. It's delicate, as it has to be done without cutting all the way through, yet still going deep enough to remove all the cancer. After he cut it out the nurse ran (literally) to the pathologist who examined it while we waited. All the perimeters were clean, so then he placed the graft.

He did a fantastic job and I'm extraordinarily pleased with the result. Six months later now and people don't even notice. You can see it if you know about it, but it blends in quite well.

A interesting side effect is that when he sewed behind the ear he lifted the skin a bit, so now that side of my face looks slightly younger than the other.

In follow-up visits we had several good conversations. He takes a lot of pride in his work and strives for perfection (my impression, not his words) in every surgery. If I ever decide on cosmetic surgery I will talk to him first.

Unfortunately I can't remember his name right now and I don't have any paperwork handy. But he's in the plastic surgery center there. His English is very good and he's very easy to talk to.

Cost for my procedure was 140,000 baht.

IMO that's not "cosmetic" surgery. You need to see an opthalmic surgeon. They specialise in eyes, while cosmetic surgeons may not have much experience in that area.

Blepharoplasty is most definitely cosmetic surgery, and opthalmic surgeons do not perfrom it. there is no instrumentalization of the eye itself, the surgery involves only the skin around the eyes and eyelid.
