I was at the Samsung store at Maya a few days ago, and the clerk told me there is a 1 year Warranty - "Thailand only".

I asked "Can only be used in Thailand?"

"Yes".

The promotion I got for the pre-order was two years.  Usually its one year.

 

Your right.  Warranty work is only in the country you purchased it in.   I was wrong. 

 

I had to mail my Samsung watch to the US for warranty work from Thailand.  It was quite expensive because of the watch battery.

 

The pre order promotions can be very good.  Two years warranty and screen replacement.  

 

Samsung are premium phones and hopefully one will unlikely ever need to use the warranty or at least live within the country if they do.

 

They may already be taking pre -orders for the Galaxy S23 series.  Check the website, perhaps they'll have similar promotions.

      You are right as usual One more farang. People do these silly/funny things though. They also lose them, and have them stolen. I can leave my phone anywhere and it will still be there next day.
